The cab is from a MC115 (it got a high roof cab from a MTX), MC115 and CX105 cabs are the same and the CX95 had the open platform style cab.
Thanks for all your comments
We used to/still do wonder how it is justified, but they sure are popular with our combine customers. Some of the reasons we are given are less compaction, better traction, better stability ( long unloader spouts ,hilly ground and soft tyres can equal nervous driver), less stress on the drive train and a lot easier to travel on the road due to less width and improved ride comfort.
I'm pretty sure I would, having already seen the mock up first hand. As said above, I would have to see the finished cast article before deciding for sure.
Well done guys, looks great. Certainly does the hobby proud. Hope I can get to see these displays for real sometime. Have to plan future holidays a bit better me thinks
Fraser trailers were part of the sbf group which went under a few years ago. The rights to fraser trailers were bought over buy another trailer company, I don't know who. The old factory has now been demolished. I used to work for the same group in the machinery retail business, the sb of sbf, which was bought by the maagment team and became Sellar Agriculture Ltd, which I still work for.
Yes Johny the cabs are called SG2.
The axle was quite easy to do, once you get rid of the original axle it leaves quite a flat area to mount a new one on.
Have seen a few loader tractors up here with wider front wheels, have to do something to keep them on top of the mud
Loader staying as it is, John Deeres were mostly fitted with these loaders in my area, so a common site to me. I will be making something to go on the loader at some point though, either a bale spike or muck fork or maybee both
Thanks for the comments guys,
Got a wee bit more done to her today, still got to do some exterior detailing and all the interior!
Shall put some more pics up in a few days.
No probs.
Managed to get a small amount more done, what do you think? Front wheels not dry enough to refit the tires yet, will leave to harden for a couple of days.
