    Dutch tractors

yep just added it to my favourites, how many cuts do ye get on the continent as the grass always looks really lite in any pictures ive ever seen
  8. beautiful pics luke, that harvester is the except same as the old one we had last year, i see with the new one you dont have to get in and out to fold up the wheels on the header as they are worked off hydraulic rams on the new machies, great news for us tractor drivers as our boss used always make us get out to do it usually while he was still driving as he was rushing to the next job incidently none of the major contractors down by me have pulled out yet either and with the weather the last few days its going to take a while for the fields to dry
  9. ya excellent work FNHIR very beneficial in seeing the other contenders form and helps to hot things up a bit when you see the competition
  10. looks like things are really heating up ur way luke, im praying it rains here for a least the next 12 days dat way i wont miss any before my exams finish especially our first job as the farmer always gives a very generous tip to the drivers when leaving and his wife is some cook
  11. very nice fp you should chance ur arm at making an o + k the rear of the new ones is very similar to the rear of that one
  12. do ye not find that the teleporters atre too lite for packing the pit?
  13. SPN i expect you to be first considering YOUR EARLIER EXCITMENT :D
  14. me too im not sure about the lads but i wont be entering for a while must try and sort out some fields and a shipment of new trailers soon
  15. in alot of silage pictures ive seen from england ye seem to spread the grass once its cut alot, over here its rearly done as far as i can tell and to be honest ive actually ever seen it done, when we mow we cut in 10 foot blows and using the swarther on the mower throw too flows into one, then pick it up with the harvester. a few years ago we used to use a rake but only had it for one season
  16. a good lot of the pits we do are not in walled pits and are free standing
  17. you can discuss and comment here on peoples entries to the silage machinery model farming competition.
  18. Rules: each person is allowed a maximum of 1 entry in this section each entry can contain a maximum of 6 photos. the pictures can depedict a pit or bale outfit but cannot show both in the same category. Any tractors/machinery used in this category cannot be re-used in another category....... exceptions exist for silage trailers but try to keep it realistic. it is ok to use older machinery in for example the 00s period considering some contractors and many farmers who cut their own silage realy heavily on older stuff a seperate section will be made "in this board" to allow people to comment on the entries but any OT posts under this title, other then the entries will be deleted. once all the entries have been received ill organise a poll where each member has one vote when submitting an entry you should first indicate how many acres ur outfit picks up and try to match the machinery used with the workload......... KEEP IT REALISTIC ill leave it running for 8 weeks from this evening (some of you may think this is a long time but it givens everyone plenty time including myself as once the real silage starts it will be hard to find time to log onto the forum) POST UP Alan
