I personally think the shipping companies are riding it. Fair enough... The Suez was blocked for a few days.... But its all over now. Things should be back to normal. Maybe it's the cost off the barrel off oil soaring along with Covid. Steel has gone way up also in price. It all has knock on effects.

It’s more of a shipping container issue, as a function of COVID standard shipping routes have been completely disrupted and changed.   Plus places like China are requiring quarantine of Cargos and ship personnel, so a lot of capacity was sucked out the system.  Things were beginning to get better before the suez issue hit.
Increased bunker rates have an impact as well.

Solartex is a plastic fabric used by RC Aeroplane people to wrap planes in. It makes really effective roll 8ver sheets as it cuts cleanly and rolls nicely holding shape. It's pricey though, I think last time I bought it it was £19 a meter. I use 3.8oz Waterproof fabric for roll over sheets these days, takes abit of care to cut without freying but looks the part when done.

thanks for the info, I will have to see what I can source in Hong Kong.

And what red colourmatch did you find .u like to now i have the same thing in mind

I used this paint, challenge is most of the Humbrol paints that others use are not available where I live.

There is a topic on the forum that discusses colour matches, there might be a Case IH red reference on there.

  4. Put the house together today, came together quite nicely.  Will need a few tweaks though.

I decided to let my twin 3 year old boys to help, they did a pretty good job painting the windows, but maybe wasn't my best idea to get them involved with the hot glue gun.  No injuries, but didn't give the cleanest of glue lines, ha.

  5. Not posted for quite a while in here, I thought I was moving house so I dismantled everything.  In the end we didn't move and I have only recently been able to put the Farm back together, with a few adjustments.

A replacement has made its way to the Lantau Farm's, we have replaced the Claas Tucano and Claas Lexion 760 with one Claas 8900TT.  We plan to keep the 12m existing Claas header for the fields which have been switched to 12m CTF.

Just finished up the last check over of the Lexion 760 in the workshop before it is shipped of.
