Anyone is welcome to pop in for a cuppa ....except er, Marky
;D

That is a big old tyre! At least you didn't have to break the bead.
-
Looking very good so far - going to be difficult to judge
-
Brilliant Thomas - you seem to have got that up and running very quickly. The harvesting scene looks very realistic.
-
What a wee beauty Cerin
and a spreader too!
-
Some great scenery round your farm Richard. I can imagine what it must be like in summer though - its bad enough up here at times.
The Countys look really well and it's good to see them being worked properly (except for lifting two bales
)

Good photos Mart. Looks like a tidy machine, although it is 'newish'
-
There were some establishment trials up here and the Topdown, Sumo trio, Simba solo etc. did well but the best yield came from dropping the seed behind subsoiler legs in 500mm rows. The only thing was the roots got into the drains.
-
Some good pics of your very tidy machinery - looks like a good operation you have there.

Had a nibble last night cut the headland off a 9 ha field of WB at 17%. Rain today again..........
-
Just got the UH 5000 so had to line it up against the Scaledown.
Paint colour slightly off but compares well to Scaledown. UH has a pickup hitch, front weights, plough lamp and I presume power steering.
I'm sure Nigel will know when the mods. came in.

Nice one Marky
Presume that's the Sisu engine? Good 'un!
When most people have their mid life crisis they buy a daft sports car or a huge motorcycle.........you just have to be different.

One field of wheat starting to look a wee bit unsteady
:o

Now it's finished, that's a great model of a very unusual machine. Some super detail in the cab and on the spray lines too.
-
A bit different but looks good.
Excellent photos too.
-
Nice job - mounted sprayers like that are still common round here.
-
Looks very well - the paint and decals will finish it off a treat.
-
It's all been said already, beautiful model in a quality material - I would hate to judge between yours and BOR's though.
-
Just simply superb. I had a crawl over one of these recently and your model looks perfect to me.
-
Very tidy job indeed
You've got the proportions of those gutsy little tractors just right.
-
88mm yesterday and gale force winds. Not good a week before harvest.
Still just raining now!
-
As Ricky says most tractors have captive nuts in pillars etc. I also use 'RAM Mounts' (http://www.ram-mount-uk.com/create-a-mount.htm)which makes swapping boxes between vehicles a doddle.

I had a walk round everything today so I think I will start Roundup on winter barley this week - so it's around 14 days to harvest then. OSR and wheat are a long way off
-
My basic rotation is:
OSR 1 year in 5 for disease control, and easy grass weed control
WW1 Fertility after OSR.
WW2 Take-all starts to creep in, never as quite good as 1st wheat
SB Malting, gets rid of volunteer wheat and brome type grass weeds.
WB Malting, low nitrogen reserves in soil, good entry for OSR....
Occasionally in here would be beans or potatoes instead of OSR, grass for 2/3 years. It can all change due to weather etc.
A few people grow continuous wheat where take all declines after about 5 years but yield never get back to the level of year one.
