  1. not before ive stood on your head and caught it ... see that dot in the distance ? ... thats me legging it
  2. my next purchase is all lined up ... an MIB ford TW20 ... an MIB MF 2680 and MIB MF 3680 could my centenery be some kind of factory mistake or something ? ... cause it is MISB and the tapes on each end are the origanals too
  3. that is an origanal ... for it is MISB and its one i got from a very knowledgeable britains guy who bought it when it was in the shops back in 1993
  4. she isnt really one for farm models ... so getting my GF to sign up here would be like asking a dog not to bark just out of curiosity ... has anyone ever heard of a model of a DB 990 implematic by a company called RJN ? my sister said she saw one in a shop yesterday and did i want it for xmas ( naturally i said yes ... well it is a DB ) heres another 6 of my britains thus ... a massey ferguson gift set britains golden centenary 100 tractor sheep dip kemper crop header marston silage trailer ( green ) farm buildings set
  5. she doesnt really share the interest ... but im working on it i always buy my britains boxed ... i think they look better that way
  6. ive already seen that once or twice ... the bank balance looses £400 - £500 and the collection grows ... well i used to own and run a ford 7840 SLE 4WD ... and i will say that after having driven most other tractors of that time ... the series 40 was the best ( dont kill me yet ) in my opinion where do you get the ROS models from ? i think im in love with the T7070 ... * runs and hides from rampaging GF after suggesting the Keira Knightly thing and then admitting im in love with a toy *
  7. now thats not nice at all ..... im gonna have to send an army of DB drivers to the dwellings of james f and lord fergie to instruct you on what youre missing
  8. i wasnt standing on her foot at the time .... at least i dont think i was well what else do you buy a DB lover other than a DB ?
  9. well ... i have a secret passion for the ford series 40 tractors ... and britains for some reason didnt make models of them thanks for the linky too * shouts at girlfriend * .. OOOOIIIII YOOOOOOU ... YOU GONNA GET ME THIS FOR XMAS OR WHAT ? * ducks under a low flying frying pan * ... guess not its interesting to see that blue power T7070 too ... its making me wanna buy one just looking at it \
  10. that DB looks sweet ... pity its not white though i have mentioned to my GF about getting me a DB for xmas ... she looked a little pained though
  11. i have been looking at getting the imber ford 6640 SLE model myself ... the cheapest ive seen it for is £49 on ebay ... is it worth that price ?
  12. its taken me almost a year to get her to buy some ... ... she is starting slowly ... i think she has the fergie 3680 , the NH TN75DA and that sisu valmet its gone back to her today too all nice and clean so she is happy i didnt know it was only produced for 1 year either
  13. its got the early red stripes ... but that model is the property of my girlfriend i only had it here to clean it for her
  14. that was kind compared to how i reated at the time ... heres another half dozen ( not the favourite other half dozen though ) thus ... the only non britains model in my collection ... the UH ford 5000 JCB 8060 midi digger 1980s bauer slurry tanker and the updated version of the bauer slurry tanker transport box and loads deutz DX 4.57 tractor
  15. steering sorted ... thanks tim as promised ... pics of how she looks now thus ... if anyone knows where i can lay my hands on a bonnet ... id be a happy mighty white driver
  16. the only time ive ever argued with a bollard was with the weights carrier on the front end of a ford 7840 guess who won the argument
  17. you have been a great help tim just one more thing while im waiting for the new pics of it to upload ... the steering keeps pulling to the left and i cant figure out why ... it has the power assisted steering system if that makes any difference
  18. well ... im too young for the bamford baler ... * ponders making a joke about lord fergies age ... but decides against it * i dont even remember the red NH baler ... by the time i was playing with thses toys as a calf they had already changed the colour to yellow i had hours fo fun with the powerfarm toys until their untimely death at the hands of my tractor hating brother
  19. the locking latch is seized solid in the unlocked position and i have found that it operates just fine if something is mounted on the arms ( transport box, haybob etc ) but if theres nothing mounted it refuses to lower no matter where i put the dial pointer and 3way valve ... which brings me to another point .... that 3 way lever on this DB actually has 4 positions ... any ideas on that one ?
  20. im not sure if im posting this in the right place or even if im doing it right ( if not ... feel free to banish me to international driving forever ... a fate worse than death ) these are six of my dozen or so favourite models from my entirely ( apart from a UH ford 5000 ) britains collection .. thus the bamford baler the powerfarm TW35 with vari spreader ford TW20 with front loader ford FW30 milking parlour and last but not least ... my MISB renault TZ16
  21. im currently in possesion of 2 tractors ( used to be three and i will post pics of the 3rd too ... just to show off mainly ) a DB 990 selectamatic a DB 990 implematic and the 3rd was a valtra N111e thus ... and the valtra which i no longer own ... just to show off again ( ha ha! ) ... heres the 2 DBs side by side thus the selectamatic is under restoration as shown in another thread the implematic is awaiting restoring the selectamatic is the main workhorse on my own farm since the valtra left ( not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing ... suggestions on a postcard please ) and i will honestly say that its by far and away the best tractor ive ever owned from the DB stable when i first set up contracting i ran five DBs ( the implematic pictured, another 990 selectamatic with DB rear mounted digger and front loader, a 1200 selectamatic, a 1490 and a horrible hydrashift 1212 ) and ive since owned most of the post 1970 models 995, 996 etc
  22. 7 year old from poland huh ? ........ * falls off chair in fits of laughter * i spoke to the farmer i bought it off and he said that the reason it was parked up was he bought a new baler and the mighty white wouldnt power it so it stood outside for the best part of 5 years before i bought it incedentally ... after all my dad cursed me for buying a " lump of old iron " ... who was the first to wanna drive it after the engine rebuild ? ... yup you guessed it ... this was his idea of a test run in the summer ... hook it up to our international 440B baler and bale 10 acres into small bales back on topic ..... i will get some new pics of it tomorrow ive done the gearbox oil change ... another linkage problem now THE DAMN THING WONT LOWER .... AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH 1st it wont go up ... now i cant get it to go down any ideas 7 year old girl from poland ? ...lmao
  23. its the later one ... the 4/49 the tractor itself is a 1970 model do you know anything about hydraulics on these tractors ... it only lifts when it wants to and its driving me insane when i emptied the gearbox, the oil was like custard and ive tried everything to get it to work every time i change the gearbox oil its like custard again within a week and the tractor lives indoors and i have both of the rubber boots over the gear levers
  24. thanks tim " you can call me anything you like as long as it's not too late for dinner! " ..... ( where did you come up with that ? ) im actually a long way through restoring it but i havent taken any new pics since work began as you said ... the engine oil was cunningly disguised as treacle and the sump was ... well ... lets not go there * shudders * as for the oil in the engine ... i dont tend to use universal oil in the front end ... i used 15W40 engine oil " for the older diesel engine " the engine did run when i started work ... but it breathed like a calving cow and smoked like a 1960s factory chimney so its had a full engine rebuild one thing i did struggle with was getting the timing gears right ... rice krispies had nothing on how it ran the first time i started it after the rebuild i had to get a friend who restores tractors for a living to do the timing ..... im not looking forward to doing the implematic at all
