Great photos! We took the Class Dominator as part exchange for a Manitou last year (2011) and exported it.

At work we run Fiat Ducato vans. We swapped from Ford Transit's and were not very impressed at frist with the Fiat's but they have been brilliant vans. We are agricultural engineers so the vans are loaded up from day one and are expected to go every where dirt tracks, fields, farm yards ect and pull a trailer when needed. We dont do mega milleage but my old van 54 reg 2.3 swb was great, comfortable to drive and plenty of power. In over 74,000 miles it had a front wheel bearing, four tyres and rear brake shoes. Several sets of front brakes but I think that was my driving style!

You have hit the 'nail on the head' Lots of customers try a MLT 634 but buy a MLT 627 which is a completely differant machine, rear engine 100hp, twin gear hyd pumps ,no power brakes or load sensing hyds but most important CHEAPER than a MLT 634. If you buy any new telescopic handler built after October 2010 regardless of size, colour or manufacture has to comply with EU law EN1500 which basically means the hyds cut out when overloaded to stop the machine tipping up. The hyds will allow you to lift the load up and/or telescope in to move the load. The Manitou has three modes built in to its SLI display it will start in pallet fork mode so works above. Bucket mode which allows tilt and crowd and aux hyds to be used when overloaded and suspended load mode which cuts hyds sooner if lifting fert bags for example. I am very biased towards Manitou as I work for a dealer! but I will admit the MLT 627 are my least favourite!

Thanks guys for the kind words! Thinking about building 2wd IH 955 as I have soft spot for them!
-
My attempt at a IH 955. I know it isn't perfect and I still need to fit new decal for the doors and the bonnet. It started life as a Britains IH 956XL.
-
Very easy to take apart. Three screw under the chassis holds on the bonnet and weight block. Cab unclips off chassis and you can then pull floor plan out. Wheels glued on to axle just need pulling off. Boom does come apart but you will need to drill the rivits out.

The man in the background of your 2nd photo doesn't look very well!
