Just risen from the pit this morning. An exhausting but excellent weekend. Great show which was thoroughly enjoyable. Once again, great company and of course, a huge thanks have to go to Mark, David, Tris and Sean for helping me run the stand at the show.
Several "laugh out loud" and "eye watering" moments again this year which coupled with the great show (and accomodation), made it a memorable weekend. Always good to see our dutch FTF'ers on their home turf and quite simply...cannot wait for next year!

That's the car packed ready to load on to the FTF Fun Bus tomorow morning. Hope the Rodeo can take all of the quality merchandise I have with me.
Will bring my satnav.

I think Mark has condemed David to the roof rack already
Otherwise Tris can sit in your pocket or we could put him in the glove compartment. So pleeeeeeennnty of room!

I didn't get change to get around the George Stephenson hall David so thanks again from me for covering the room so comprehensively. The Doe grader stands out for me. Was this a Doe machine through and through or has someone been converting an original?

Show Layout is now available.
FTF / Model Farmer are in the same area as last year. It appears we will be having paper fights with Bas, Wil and the LMF again

Brilliant compilation David. The Ford 8730 is probably my favourite of the show although seeing that custom Ford crawler on the move was quite a sight. Does anyone know of the background of that Jewelltrac Logmaster? Another very interesting machine to see! Thanks again for sharing David!

I upgraded mine yesterday. Interesting conversation with the T-mobile rep who quite blatently talked me off going for the iphone 4S. Whether that was because the next gen phone is due soon? Eitherway, it worked! I was all geared for moving over to it too but have gone with the Galaxy S 2. Charging at the moment.
http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/ is always a good resource for unbiased reviews.

Cheers Mate! Pint of Spalding it is

Cracking first day at Newark. Must have broken records for people in on a Saturday. Hope your batteries held out David!

Our caravan is opposite the blue force stand. They have an impressive display to say the least!
-
So many models now being launched at the show! I'm beginning to think the bubble may burst after the event for some manufacturers, unless OEM's are funding the replicas.

I'll be there with an FTF Model Farmer Magazine stand and my Dad will be there with his stand of models new and old. Its a cracking show. I think the theme this year is John Deere and Lanz.

The next auction is now Feb 1st. Catalogue available this week.
-
The agricultrual Corgi toys are quite populr Bill. My Dad normally sells at least one or two per show he attends. The big gift sets are particularly expensive nowdays! We have the one you posted from the catalogue scan in the next auction.

I would be incredibly suprised not to see one Ol. I think we'll know more in a couple of weeks.

after speaking to them Friday morning, as it's only a prototype they are not keen to have it on the net. They were only happy to have in the mag after November 1st which I misunderstood. There should be a more advanced image soon anyway which will no doubt appear on here as soon as it starts to circulate. You could always buy the magazine though if you wanted a sneak preview

Ken Davies giving me a call to tell me that he'd have 5 phone calls already as a result of the article in Model Farmer
Nice to hear that Mandy!

Confirmed in the past few weeks is the first main machinery show of 2012, Tractorworld 2012, held at Malvern, Worcs.
Last year there was a dedicated model section with some fantastic layouts of which the same will be repeated for 2012. There will also be a show model produced again.

After talking to a few people at Spalding and Toytrac I just wanted to clarify that FTF or Model Farmer are not organising this event. We are merely the event's main supporter.

If you have some pocket money Mark, this item might be worth investing in. Likewise, the whole site is an interesting "browse"
On what annoyed me...a certain ebay buyer who knows the postal fraud / no tracking number scam. Requests cheaper postage, then claims the item never turns up. My own fault for giving in to "its hard times so can't you send it standard royal mail".
A lesson has been learnt!
-
It wouldnt suprise me as Ebay has pretty much destroyed the selling aspect of the site. Its only buyer's who they have left to squeeze so I would say its an inevitability
. I have been on the wrong end of last second bidding from time to time losing an item because someone else's connection is probably quicker than mine. :'(
As a seller on ebay, I will be honest and say sniping annoys me, as I'm sure it would anybody else, but then the blame lies on ebay again for not having lower fees for reserves or starting prices etc..
-
I know some online auctions now put anti-snipe components in the sale where the auction is prolonged for between 1 - 3 minutes if someone bids in the last few seconds. There is a rumour ebay will do the same at some point in 2012 as from their point of view, its a significant chunk lost revenue I guess
\ . For sellers it would be good news, but it would change the bidding habbits of the vast majority of buyers I would think.

Tidy work that Mark. Very effective colour schemes too.

I recently invested in a Witter Tow Bar for the car. Not cheap mind you!
Had my first towing outing last weekend with the caravan!
What did you buy at Zwolle?

I collected a few items for magazine reviews and some to keep but my list includes:
Lexion 750 TT
Challenger Rotagator
Norev Claas Jag
Autodrome Mf1150 kit
Show model.
The challenger is my favourite. Not out the box yet but looks a great model.
