  1. New woodburner and fire surround installed today and the son of the builder went crackers over my tractor collection or at least those he could see.

What is more he spotted my latest Model Farmer, had a quick trawl through, and during his mid-morning break filled in the subscription form!

    Brilliant Sue! :)

I had a similar scenario when a courier collected some items from us. Noticed they were model tractors, saw a magazine on the side and ended up going back with a set.

  2. Indeed, it is a great milestone to reach and I think at the time, when the forum was started, we were only really aiming for a few dozen members.

Many thanks for the continued support and fingers crossed, further member milestones may be reached in due course! :)

  3. This link should take you to a list of some of the B&B's in town, or near town

    http://www.laterooms.com/en/p1301/pv233217s/k16303943_spalding-hotels.aspx?gclid=CNTQnOn-

Booking.com delivers further places but my own recommondations would be..

The supreme inn at Bicker, which is about 12 miles from Spalding. Rennovated and good food.

If you want a cosy B&B in Spalding Town, the Ship albion is very good. The Food and Ale are better than the rooms though!

Red Lion which is also in the centre of Spalding. Cosy real ale pub.

    Other places include:

    Travel Stop Motel in Spalding

Anglia Motel in Holbeach / Fleet

    Eye Green Travel Lodge

If anyone wants any more info, send me a PM  :)

  4. is there any news on when the grimme potato harvester is going to be around to buy ?

I think it was going to be June? Maybe sooner as I think the development of it is all but finished. The colour needed tweaking slightly I think.

  5. Great topic this!

I guess putting my years playing with them into perspective my top 5 of all time would be:

1.MF2680 with Everard Sprayer (Apparently I got through 5 of them)

2.MB Trac (I used to put the broken sprayer parts on the back of this!)

    3. Ford TW35 Power Farm (I didn't want the county at the time!)

    4. Kverneland Plough

    5. Flat bed Trailer

    Top 5 wanted..

    1. Ford 5000 & Dumper Set (yellow)

    2. Gold MB Trac

    3. Orange Rear Dumper

    4. Window display box DDN sets

    5. Kverneland Plough in special box

  6. I would certainly agree the comments for Britains are generally quite positive of late from most people on the forum. I would assume this is quite widespread too considering the prices on ebay people are paying the new Case IH items! There will always be those who take a disliking to the Britains models, regardless, simply because they are used to higher detail items from other brands. I've spoken to many people at shows who express an extreme disliking to UH and Wiking too, e.g. too fiddly, inaccurate, fragile and too expensive. At the end of the day, people have different agendas when collecting, which is typical in any hobby, and good for it too, as it generates healthy discussions such as this!  ;)

I do think if there is a glaring aspect of inaccuracy on any model, we are entitled to voice an opinion on it, for any brand for that matter, too! For example, they are excellent models but I do think Britains could have improved the Case / IH tractors slightly by reducing that lever size in the cab. Its huge!

  7. Not a bad looking trailer now.. Yes there are defflintly some flaws/Incorrect areas in it which I can see a mile off. But suppose its rare to get a model/toy thats 100% to the real deal..

Suppose it is only a mock up and probably not the final build so they could fix them, Doubt it tho  ::)  ::)

    Blake,

If you list what you think is incorrect, perhaps we can do something about it. :D
