Just looked at the bottle, its not cryanolate, its called Cyanoacrylate

will have a look for that gav, where the best place to find it, as i aint seen it at b&queere before

Again its in my local model shop, all comes from the same wholesaler they get their Plastruct and bits from. Its the best superglue I've ever come across

I use Plastic weld for plastruct and styrene sheet and Javis cryanolate for anything like plastic-metal joints, it comes in 3 types, thin, medium and thick but be warned this is not your common super glue, it will bond things in seconds and isn't fussy about what it is : :D

The other shocking bit for us was the fuel economy, that day i started cutting at 10am with our Lexion 460 and finished at 12am the following morning, in this time it used 430 litres of diesel. This JD on the other hand started at 3pm and went through to 12am and used 450 litres of diesel, when i talked to the rep about this he said it would have used over 700 litres if it had worked for the same time as ours had that day :o

Would stick with the Renault for comfort, Gav - it has the edge on just about everything  but the Valtra is a v nice machine.

I've not yet found one to rival the comfort of the Renault either, drove a TVT175 with all round suspension and couldn't wait to get the Renault back it was so rough riding.

11kph! Blimey, thats a bit fast isn't it. I'd normally plough at about 6 or 7. What speed do most people plough at?

I used to plough at between 6 and 11kph as well

YES once u get the right oil in er she,ll be ok

It did have the right oil in it, there had already been one case of an exploding intercooler on this model of combine locally this year

The dealer said something about a dodgy intercooler, didn't appreciate me asking where we have to shovel the coal in :D

Would you buy a combine that smoked like this on demonstration

My work mate took these last harvest of a JD we had out on demo, i was driving our Lexion at the time and would not give this the time of day, we ran out of coal for the engine in the end, we swear it was coal fired :o :D

Here you go Jason, My old workmate drilling with his TVT 175 and 4m Vaderstad, he only gave me a cd with some on the other day so could be good timeing for you

I was very impressed - pulls as well as a 6 cyl, but has this 'boost' system on it which seems to be a bit fussy on when it works. It was on a 4 furr KV variwidth at 17" and had plenty of grip, 11 kph easily. Only criticism was that it was fairly light on front end, but then it's very short.

Cab OK but would like to see the 'Advance' with electro. spools and full management system

What would you rather have comfort wise then John, your Renault or the Valtra?

Looks a good tractor John, how's it compare to the Renault?

See i do make sense sometimes :D for arable work there alot better, but for livestock etc there not going down great just because amount of electronics not needed in there part of the industry.  Gav you need to get you on a axion see what there like and im trying one on a big massey soon compare notes :D

I'd love to but i don't think our chap will buy anymore new tractors now with 2 years until he retires, let alone a Claas although he has been a Renault man for 20+ years, the last one has been a bit of trouble \  If i can find a way i will though 

Even i have to admit that the Hexashift Ares i drove was a lot better than the Quadrishift one so i think its a step froward in arable terms but maybe not for other areas of the industry   And before anyone gets carried away with numpties Hexashift is the Claas name for Dyna-6 and Quadrishift for Dynashift

dyna 6 as it's a whole new gearbox etc and from what i've heard electrics on gearchanging etc more reliable and smoother.

Lets not start this one up again, i can still remember the last time it got brought up :D :D

I've never been able to get on with brass myself and find Plastruct and styrene sheet alot easier to work with, its cheaper as well, just depends what you want to do with it at the end of the day
