  1. what did you get the wheels of Gav

I bought the wheels off Farm Models at Spalding :);)

nice gav, being of sick may not be good for ya, but the collection is getting bigger eh mate

Thats very true, fast running out of space to put everything now though :-\

Good effort Gav, the wheels make a hell of a difference  as I found on my grain trailer aswell.

Thats actually where i got the initial idea from, then when i started using the one at work i thought i'd give it a go on the Marston Silage trailer :);)

  2. Crikey... nice rig... we don;t get them over here like that... although one guy has been trying to get them established...

What weight can you reach with one of those fully laden (train weight... legal train weight)  ???

Would that be a certain guy at Peterborough Marky that we've discussed before ???

  3. If you think of it like an 8 wheeler lorry, both the front axles steer on one of them to help it manouvre so this is basically the same, if you left the 8 wheeler with the wheels turned it would look like crab steer on the front. You do have to stand next to these machines to see how long they are really. I know there will be some working not far from Matty soon as i was carting muck there the other day and saw a big field of carrots with straw stacked up waiting :);)

  4. cheers gav, they seem to be rare as now adays from the article, prob why i am having probs finding pics of them

I've seen a few working in the A17 area but i don't get that way very often, i think i've seen one near the Thorney bypass roundabout on the A47 as well, maybe something someone in that area could checkout ??? Up till last year there was someone locally running one with a db skid unit but its gone now

  5. nice work Gav ;D ;D ;D, i was, as FP, under the impression this was what you were gonna attempt!!. looks good so far, pity no model maker has actually attempted a decent one yet :-\

Thanks Ben, that was my opinion as well, i never bought the old green britains one as quite frankly i thought it was crap. This is long overdue though by someone, you never know UH may produce one in the future :);)

  6. beat me to it, im just on with making another piggy back drill (d.t p/harrow and a norsted drill) made like i did the amazone one about 6 months ago. ive got a low loader trailer on order to move it about then its off on ebay ;)

looks good, i may do one but i  will paint the power harrow into machio colours or greenland ones to make it a bit more uk branded ;)

From memory there doesn't look to be alot of difference between the Prosol colour scheme and that of the Kverneland power harrows, could be wrong though as its been quite a while since i last saw one

  7. I thought that was what you had planned for the accord drill!!

Looks well Gav, is it easy to mount, much chopping to do etc??

I thought that someone would guess what ihad planned, trouble is this is the one from my collection i cut up :-\

Its actually quite difficult as the whole chassis and frame has to be cut off the drill to fit it. Nothing is in the right place as the pipes aren't long enough to leave the frame intact unfortunately. In the process of making the frame and markers at the minute :);)

  8. Looking good Gav......Is there anything you won't fit an OSR seeder to?  :D;) ;)

    Thanks Martin, and in a word-no :D :D ;)

looks good Gav, nice little convo, more interested in the harow/drill though ;)

Thanks Ben. Did try to post that at the same time but it disappeared into the abyss by the looks of it, sorted now though :);)

Spot on Gav, just how I imagined it to look. Best start getting these done in numbers before everyone has got the harrow an doesn't want to buy another.  ;)

Thanks Tris, funnily enough i have 5 of them sitting here all in progress ;D
