  1. Hope to move out sometime in the next couple of months all things being well. Cooking roast beef, yorkshires, roast spuds and veg and the molds aren't for anything of my own but for two members on here
  2. Been making some molds today and am currently starting to cook tea for myself and my girlfriend...two weeks in a row now. Getting in cooking practice ready for when I move out
  3. Will be a busy week next week thats for certain as the harvester needs to be ready for use a week on Tuesday
  4. Are you sitting comfortably? right then I'll begin....... Main lifting web Second web Cleaning stars Digging shares Share Fingers Haulm roller Haulm roller sprokets, chain and bearings Cleaning star shaft bearings, sprokets and chains Web rollers Cart elevator rollers, drive chain and sprokets Cleaning table rollers and seals Hydraulic pump drive sprockets and chains Main shaft sprockets and bearings Thats just some of the list, theres more besides what I can't remember off the top of my head but there was three pages of parts that needed replacing :o
  5. Started to overhaul the spud harvester today, looking to be a weeks work and somewhere in the region of £5000 to get it ready for work :o
  6. Lets just say its growing on me......... :D It wasn't too bad in that bit of the field, still some damp puddingy places in the fields though, its all in thats the main thing as its getting late for rape
  7. Thanks Mart, its a good drill just a pain in the backside when drilling headlands \ Here's a couple of videos I made today as well, I had the side window open at the time so you can hear the sound of the Deere growling as well Looking forwards Looking backwards, even dust blowing
  8. I've been drilling rape yesterday and today with my 6920s and the Vaderstadall of it is now in and has also been sprayed. Not gone into ideal conditions in places but times getting on so it had to go, 27ha drilled in about 12 hours in total on two fields so I don't think it went too badly. Seed rate was 6kg/ha so what you see in the hopper in the picture drilled the whole of a 10ha field Taken on the final headland run Bit cloddy but it'll have to do, was too wet at the start of the week, now the top is like concrete but its wet beneath
  9. I reckon you could find a good one at one of the tractor breakers out there, even if it came off an accident damaged tractor the chances of it being damaged are remote
  10. Can't you get one from the breakers yard Simon as thats just ridiculous \
  11. Been in the workshop all morning and then drilled 11.3Ha of rape between 1pm and 7pm, not bad with a 3m drill and short ends
  12. Yes it is Martin, considering it is was a 4 furrow it must have been heavy as it was lifting the nose of the Fastrac up on the headlands despite it having a set of weights up there....must have improved the build quality on them :-X
  13. Cheers John I'm actually favouring a Dowdeswell, Rabe is ruled out on price I would imagine but the Overum is a strong contender as well. Dowdeswell would be nice though as I like the twin shin idea on the front of the mouldboard so you can change the bit of the board that wears the most. Prices given to me today vary between £14.5k up to £17.5k after discount for a 5 furrow manual vari-width with rear discs and a press arm
  14. As promised, one video (with sound) of the big Massey and Kv plough with Packomats setting in at the end
  15. We finished harvest at 9.30 pm on the 30th of August and I finished baling at 11am on the 31st, we're just struggling to drill our rape now due to very wet fields \
  16. Last 5 pics, hope you aren't too bored Thats it folks, just one video to post up as soon as its uploaded
  17. Today I went to the NORMAC event near Thetford here in Norfolk, mainly to go plough shopping, and met up with Pingu and another mutual friend of ours there. Thought I'd get a few pics to share with the rest of you, very light sandy soil so no problems with it being too wet there. If anyone else who went wishes to add pictures then feel free
  18. Tried to drill some OSR first thing but it was a bit too wet, was a job to know whether to push on regardless or not but we didn't. Ended up servicing my 6920s and Vic's 6810, the latter being overdue
  19. Ploughing, drilling and starting to lift spuds as soon as they are ready
