  1. Brilliant posts & pics Phil, 80’s & 90’s we’re by far the best decades for me. Just packed up working on a 5,000ac set up, sadly after doing the job all my life it’s just not the same anymore. Keep em coming !
  2. Cor, she is abig ole gel Malcy !! you'll have to get to work & extend that spout & header.
  3. Looking good Paul, surprising what a difference small details make.
  4. Thanks Andy, my boss's are pals with Philpots, we sometimes get down your way for spares at Keeble brothers.
  5. Thanks for comments Tris, it certainly was a bit of luck with graphics. Thought we could do it from photos of the real one but it just wasn't good enough. Yep the old steering handle bars will have to go I think & another thing which Paulali with his 770 has picked up on is rear wheels are wrong way round so will have to put that right, & on my 770 as well, cant believe never noticed something as obvious as that !! Well done Paul. as said earlier would like to give lights & beacons a make over & possibly make spout a bit longer as we had XXL spout on the original for 1050 header. Good news about tank lids so roll on febuary !
  6. Thanks Paul, will keep an eye out for those tank lids. The upright 580/750 ones they do are suberb, got a norscott 580 which Im putting tracks on to make into 570+ TT the tank lids look grand on that.
  7. Header was made from 2 U/H Tucano headers, used middle section of 1 then 2 end sections off other one with brass middle arm, reel was the hardest job or should I say fiddlyest job !, got hold of a damaged Norev 770 for a steal which was the donor for the tracks which we then repaired the damage & converted to a wheeled one, biggest job with tracks was making axle frame to get combine to sit at right height. As we had the real combine at work contacted the graphics company who did the real one and they still had the artwork on file which I got a local company to scale down & print in vinyl so bit of luck there but must admit was one hell of a job to put on especaily round the back left hand side, had to cut it a lot but it dosn't look too bad. Would like to get some better lights beacons & numberplate to finish off & I hear PMA32 are bringing out new tank lids for Norev 770 so have to see what they look like as siku's arn't quite right.
  8. That belongs to a mate of mine who helped me with the combine Paul, its quite a set up with a lot of his own conversions too. Bear with me as Im stuggling with photobucket at the mo but getting there !!
  9. Just about there now, few bits & pieces to do to finish,
  10. Excellent photos as usaul David, that white Lexion 760 will be working in essex/cambs & suffolk this harvest, its our machine but are very undecided as to weither to keep it like it, the jurys out !! We had the combine new for last harvest so they did a grand job of cleaning her up. It went back to Manns after harvest to go in the showroom for customers to view as they didnt have unused one in the country at time then came up with idea if we would let them wrap it for Lamma then have it home as it is or put back to normal, would be intrested to hear peoples thoughts to feedback to paymasters as we cant decide at the mo !!
  11. Hi Malcy, 770 lids look spot on, reckon you would have hell of a market for those. havn;t had a lot of luck on pma website they seem to constantly out of stock Mick.
  12. No 1350's on release in uk this year as problems getting straw powerspreader to spread 45ft so they holding back till this sorted
  13. will see u boys there if wet, we only 12 miles from weston wood, 1 of our farms borders on to thurlow est. just looked at forecast & looks like will be fine !!! never rains when u want it too !!! ha ha!. If u miss it Chris we running a pre-series 7?? so u can always come & have nose round it when ya got an hour or 2 to spare.
  14. just had 1 delivered yesterday, pre-series 750. went to Germany in may to see them and the powers at be couldnt decide weather to move them all up a number or add a + as they did with the 500 range but I think they have now decided to move them all up a number so 770 will now be 780 with old 760 becoming obsolete as it had no jetstream system. New cooling pack looks awesome & new back axle to allow 30" wheels for 780 + fully automatic cemos & a 1350 header !!
  15. Hello Chris, brilliant job. spent many a happy hour in one of those back in the 90's, looking forward to your next one
  16. will try a smaller pic for u Malc, we had this 600 untill last year, do u think it would be possible to copy these graphics somehow for siku 600 Have converted header & have fitted tracks off Norev 770.
  17. Thanks Malc that would be great, just looking for 2 x V1050 transfers for each end of header as it has the original V750 ones on it still at the moment. Trying to sus oit how to post pics !!! bear with me ! Cant seem to upload any pics as all my pics are over 2 mb,
  18. Excellent work work Malc, little cracker !. do you know where or if anybody sells decals & numberplates to order as have just converted 2 V750 headers into a V1050 for siku Lex 600 ??
  19. Quite agree about 8 or 10.5m rexus twin & simba 7m SL Dave, lot of big tractors out now 7 not a great deal of kit to put behind em!!
  20. Hi Chris, great collection, had the precision STX combine myself untill someone tempted me to part with it, wish i hadn't now !!
  21. Morning everyone, joined recently after looking for sometime. Been collecting for years but not bigtime, all 1/32 scale & a passion for combines. some excellent stuff on here & is a credit to everyone involved, about to take the plunge and have a go at few conversions, much to the dearly beloved's dismay !!!
