  1. Really like the program and have been following it closely. Its really helpful for someone like myself who wants to get involved in farming to see what goes on around farms and what hurdles and so on there are to pass. Looking forward to the next episode :)

  2. I think the last I heard Mikes engine count was 19 but he may have exceed that by now. I would say £ 250k was a conservative estimate.....his Showman's engine Dolphin alone would be worth more than that I would imagine. I must get photos scanned of a working weekend held at his place some years ago.

I think 19 is probably about right. Me and my dad were talking to him at GDSF last year and he's a really nice fella and willing to chat about his stuff. Ah yeah dolphins worth a pretty penny and with the new paint job she's had she's probably worth over £300k at least. Then its the same with Goliath one of his other showman's engines and the only McLaren one in the world. My dad was lucky enough to drive both of them when they were owned by Frank Lythgote who Mike brought them from along with a few more of his engines. I believe Frank now collects vintage tractors instead of traction engines.

  3.

Next the Ernie and Mike Muller having a thrash with their Foster engine and mill. I's sure the engine was sold to Ireland. The Threshing Mill was sold to a farmer Ernie Leith of Deystone Kintore and after Ernie died it was brought by local Aberdeen steam enthusiast Mike Dreelan from Blair's just across the valley from me.

steam enthusiast alright :) the mans got roughly 20 engines worth upto £250,000  ( sorry its not farming related but just thought id say)
