  1. It looks like the 8250 chassis to me ,with an extended bonnet and the cab pushed backwards to accommodate that -  but people seem convinced a conventional tractor is coming...

    Agritechnica ;)

If you're lucky you may have spotted one of the test ones!  I been told the cab will be further back than this but this unit may be kept the same position as it could be only testing the power train and elecs for example.  There sould be many scattered about under various disguises!  they did similar when the first fastrac ever came out. Harper Adams have one of the test machines in the engineering department from the first time round.

It also could be a guy whose painted his Fastrac Red :D;D ;D

  2. I have just been on tyrotoys website and seen a UH Hardi alpha selp propelled sprayer

which is due to come out later this year

    have you seen it

    Mike

It is largely felt thay both the commander and the Alpha are UH but I feel there not - The box they come in doesn't specify a manufacturer but there was a post in the past actually quoting the manufacturer. Due to this a lot of internet shops put them in the UH section.  To be fare its quite clear there not UH as the booms are simple plastic if they were made but UH the would be as detailed as the Technoma boom :)

  3. I've done a lengthy post on the Bio fuels topic but just to clarify what information I have been sent by the AEA re. seta side is as follows

The EU farming ministry have backed the commission to scrap the set a side by 2008 season. the final decision will be made before the end of Aug (haven't had the conclusion yet)  The environmentalists have expressed their concerns and so it seems that a compromise may be made where the area is reduce not abolished.

So the decision may have been made but it seems that even if it is abolished it isn't until next year.

I don't know how much people know about it but just to confirm that setaside can be either rotational or fixed so you will see land ploughed up this time of year as they will be leaving another field elsewhere.

Some farmers around me leave all the headlands and bad parts of the fields permentally to speed up harvests and cultivation.

Hope this helps - perhaps someone willl find out the conclusion  :);)

  4. between Little Weighton and High Hunsley

(near Beverley in East Yorshire, to those of you who don't know God's Country !)

After posting these I wondered if it was a rebadged Case or something.

It is a new MF but they are the Heston - thers only one over here sold.  There are few changes just new guards and a few mods which were neaded to improve it. :)

  5. Unfortunatly 3 days on a stand - but may get chance to look around for a day - I beleive there are a lot of UH models released there this year.  Im trying to convince my mate to drive there due to cost and convienience! ;) well another reason, while he's there he may as well got back full of models! :D;D

  6. it was for a while but then the must have found another couple of thousand  :D :D

Red was general release with loader from UH and the Blue was only available from Valtra/Agco.  They call them limited release as they order the minimum/required batch but if they don't sell well then they don't reorder, which makes the ones we have quite sort out for - unfortunatly they didsell them and re ordered! and so there everywhere for half the price!. :D;D>:(

  7. We had one similar years ago but it had 4 flat 2x2 with 4 on top - it worked similar to a browns sledge but just on the top row of bales.

The four would go in the bottom, then the first in the top. When the second bale from the top went in it would push an arm  which allowed another arm to position for the last bale. This arm would operate the latch. Its actually still in the scrap heap ;);D

  8. Tarrup TA  :)

Two models available, TA 6570 OC & TA 6690 OC for the Americans, not sure if they are for other countries.

The Baler is the Vicon LB12290 and LB12200 - they only change the stickers on the line - there only available in limited markets where Tarrup is strong ie USA/Canada ;):)

You can see the Tarrup Bio with the lid up in the background,  this entered our market as Tarrup but now its a Vicon in the UK. ;)

  9. The same machine was later called, as you say, the PZ Haybob. I'm not sure if it had any minor design changes though. The "keel" board at the front being one of the major differences/benefits in design to other rotary tedders as a lump was thrown against it and "teased out" by the tines as opposed to being just whipped through still in a lump.

The company PZ is in Geldrop Holland - they produced various Haybobs from the original 280 (which you see above) the 360, 380, JH420  and finally the large 4 rotor DS5000

They also did the more recognised rakes and tedders you see today, also they produced some really stranges rakes which I have attached some photos along with the 4 rotor haybob.

The Vicon company then bought them who are based in Holland, they made the RC300 ,330 and 350 which had skids instead of wheels.

The company decided to just stick with the Haybob 300 (new version of the 280) and the 360, the rest were dropped.

The differences from the 280 to the 300 are as follows

Made wider from 2.8m to 3m

New headstock to allow the machine to turn left and right instead of left only

new mounting to the main frame

And now finally the PZ was dropped and its now a Vicon Haybob300

As you may already know the Vicon company was then taken over and is now part of the Kverneland Group

  10. have a look on gandmfarmmodels.co.uk he has a small picture of it as he has some for sale.

G&M Got them in today - I picked one up today along with the fendt coloured deutz - excellent detail for a keen UH collector.  The model is actually a K120 Agrotron

I do understand you views on different colours of models but I have to keep up with my set! ;);D

There are pictures of the real tractor on the box to prove it was produced.

The colour is a gun metal grey (I have been informed its the landrover metalic grey) with silver wheels and cab roof, also chrome exhaust

If a picture is not on by tomorrow I will be in a postion to post one. :)
