  1. Here's a few pics of recent builds of the Roadless 75 using more suitable front wheels, a weight block and rebuilt rear linkage...
  2. Amazing collection of blue ovals there Martin, really like those service vans and the transporter not to mention Daisy Duke applying some tyre paint to the 1174! Stunning work!
  3. Amazing work Sean! You're a brave man to take this very complex model on, looking forward to seeing the end result!
  4. That's exactly the Hydrocut Farmer I found being sold on ebay, and I've seen the log splitter too, I wonder what other machinery they have produced in the past
  5. Yes Sean Moffetts are made in Co.Monaghan, Ireland, they also make the Moffett Mounty forklift for the backs of trucks. Hydrocut is still operating but nothing like the innovative machines from the 1970s, the identification plate on ours reads Sudbury, Suffolk. They seem to have built a lot more models of hedge cutters than I first thought, including the Mk2, 3 and 4 Super Hydrocut, The Universal, the Boadicea, the Simeon, the Giraffe and just recently discovered a compact rear mounted hedger called The Hydrocut Farmer. Extremely hard to find any images or information on them, even on the interweb
  6. Yeah there have been a few close calls thankfully not on a public road or street, most memorable one being my father hitting a rusty iron bar in the hedge with the slasher blade. It sheared all six blades off and send them towards the tractor. Two blades hit the mesh guard and tore it open, thankfully they didn't go any further! The mesh guard was very heavy and doubled up and that's what stopped them.
  7. Thanks Martin! Yes a weapon indeed, especially when the saw blade came in contact with barbed wire! It would strike the mesh guard quicker than you could see it coming, dangerous stuff.
  8. Sorry I didn't get a chance to reply Sean, Mark got there before me anyway Saw head finished, 4 wheel drive decal drawn up and applied
  9. Thank you for the kind comments everyone, the end is in sight just a few fiddly bits to sort out. Flail head detailed and ready, Hydrocut decal applied, and cab floor plates with step (to be painted)...
  10. Mudguard mounted toolbox, control lever hoses, brake and clutch pedals. Wasn't happy with Britains chunky exhaust pipe so I scratch built one
  11. Seat, control levers and gear levers. And that terrible toy car type steering wheel replaced with vintage Britains
  12. Duncan cab next. Cut to fit rear mudguards, sprayed Ford grey and painstakingly painted in the Ford blue by hand. Window rubbers finished in matt black and ready for glazing
