  1. Dirk, The 3600 is a Siku John Deere 5820 with a 5400 series bonnet. Various adjustments were made to lights and beacons etc. The one in the picture I did myself. I originally ran the idea past PDC who made the first one, a 3645 without a loader, for me. Adie
  2. trx, Yes, the loader is off the UH renault. Your Lordship, your not wrong, it will be interesting to see how many of the (i assume) 6 series will end up in 1/32 scale ? Adie
  3. Not intending in invest in a Britians 7400 as I am not really into big tractors, the 6400 is as big as I want to get. The UH 8690 was a impulse buy that I now regret to some extent. If anyone is interesting in buying a boxed, as new, UH 8690 I am happy to negotiate a price less than the current retail price. If anyone can come up with a good approximation of one of the bigger models from the MF 1500 or 1600 range I would be more than interested. Cheers Adie
  4. Just a 7400 series missing One example each from 8600, 6400, 5400, 4400 & 3600
  5. Can anyone suggest a bench size pillar drill that will handle the needle size bits that we use in 1/32 modeling. cheers Adie
  6. Light Land, I thought the old Merino were worth a few dollars in the middle east these days ?
  7. John, Very interesting in deed. Can I say, thank you, for your time and trouble in posting such an excellent and detailed reply. Adie
  8. Thanks to everyone who replied. It's a poor day you don't lean anything ! Can anyone explain the nitrate poisoning, and how you avoid/cure it ? Cheers Adie.
  9. As a total non farmer, but someone who is very interested in the subject, I have been reading a number of articles on out wintering cattle on kale. The principle, for anyone who is not aware, is to bale and wrap a field of silage, leaving the bales in lines across the field, and then plant kale around them. Then, rather then housing stock during winter, they are strip fed the kale with the silage given as roughage. There are two choices with planting the kale. First is to plant into a prepared seed bed (you get more kale per acre) or direct drill into the grass sward (the ground stands up better to the actions of the animals on it). Which leads to my first question.... Assuming that any ground that is being used for this is going to be fairly light and free draining could you direct drill grass back in after the kale, and therefore have a wholly direct drill establishment policy, or is the reality that you are going to have to reach for the plough at some point ? The second question........... I live on the edge of the Somerset levels, and most of the ground is simply too wet for the above. But where it is operated does anyone know if the system has survived this winter given the whole country has had more than the average snow fall all ready, and is now getting pretty wet ? Cheers in advance Adie
  10. Link has not worked. If you want to see pics of 2620 do a search on "massey 2620 with a twist" Adie
  11. Just had a thought, see link, hope this has worked ? http://www.farmtoysforum.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=27

  14. Uh Kuhn tedder from Udimore. Ifor Williams stock trailer from the welsh gentleman with the table in the corner, for the life of me I cannot remember his name. An MF cab and bonnet from PDC Some white metal parts from a chap I see at every show, but whose name I do not know. And, I know I will get shot for this, a Britians MF 595 for a pound from the toy fair at Shepton Mallet show ground on the way home. Another reason why is was pretty quiet this year ?
  15. MF 2440ST or 420 But the one that really would be "a million miles over broken glass in bare feet to get to the shop to buy it" would be a Kidd in-line Rotaflail, Uh are you listening ??!!
  16. Quite sometime back I bought some white metal cast steps. They were two open steps on a curved frame, as used on MF 500 and 2000 series tractors. I cannot for the life of me remember who I bought them of, and I could use some more. Anyone know who might be producing any at the moment. Usual cheers in advance, Adie
  17. Has anyone been to the trouble of matching the grey colour on the loader. I have a few of these on MF models and would like to paint the yellow bits in the same grey as the rest of the loader. Cheers in advance Adie
  18. A 24 it is then. Thanks for your help as usual guys. Off to get the spray can out. Adie
  19. Sunday morning I picked up a Britains Bomford Superflow Chisel plough for a couple of quid. This is the one with the rear mounted depth wheels, as apposed to the current UH one with wheels mounted near the front. Can anyone tell me what model (number) identification MF gave this version of the Superflow, and any pictures would be good so that I can get the decals right ? As usual cheers in advance Adie
  20. I take it all back ! Just done some interweb reasearch and Bobcat do make the current MF badged telehandlers. I am still sure that the orgional MF handlers were made by a French company ??
  21. Pretty sure its not Bobcat unless things have changed recently. They were made by a fairly obsecure, in the Uk at least, french company FDI or Sambron or similar, can't for the life of me remember for sure.
  22. MF fans go from famine (for far too many years) to feast, The 3080 and 6475 will be musts for me, as will the 175 if it turns up in 1/32 (UH please don't change your policy of doing 1/16 models in 1/32 as well !!!!). My farm will also have to take a serious look at converting from round to square bales as well !
