Can't say for sure, but have never seen one, Norscot used to do a Challenger 95E, but they now seem to make big money.

how old is it ?,check your battery has power and is charging up.do you know anyone near you with  a model that is going just swop batteries to check,this maybe you prob,new batteries are gettable but are not cheap.did the tractor have a fall ?motherboard may be in trouble,are the lights working ?switching channels on both may help.need more symptoms

Does anyone know if, or where you can get a Siku Control tractor serviced or repaired, have a Fendt that seems to have gone dead , no life in it at all even after showing a full charge.

hi sean question do the modern 4 wheel drive tractors drive on all 4 wheels when the diff locs in or just 3 the equal wheel countys drove on all 4 with diff lock and also braked on all4 not just the rears ?

Most tractors will only drive on four wheels with the four wheel drive engaged, engaging the diff lock will only lock the rear axle in most cases. Most modern four wheel drives will default to four wheel drive when the brakes are applied ,so effectively giving you four wheel braking.

Quite a few MF in the immediate area, afew people have switched to MF from JD due to their problems over the last few years and the better fuel economy of the Masseys. Also a smattering of NH's, McCormicks, Case's , a few Deutz's since the local dealer took on the agency, and of course as befitting Wales several Zetors.

Question 2;  The Countys, Muir Hills and Roadless equal size wheel 4x4's all suffered from the same drawback, superb traction ,but an abysmal turning circle. This is why the US built four wheel drives you mentioned, FW60's, Stiegers, MF Artics, Versatiles etc ,all have pivot steering.

The modern four wheel drive tractors as we know them, or more accurately "front wheel assist" as our American cousins call them , have traction little short of that of the early Equal wheel 4x4's but can turn on a sixpence by comparison.

Question 3; No ,unfortunately the Banner Lane factory closed some years ago, MF's are now built at Beauvais in France.

Question 4;  Yes the Xerion 5000 is that big, it's rated at 524 hp. This is getting up into Big Bud territory ,and they are absolutely enormous.

Wouldn;t have thought you'd need to go as big as a MF 6000 series on that acreage , get a nice 5400 series about 100 hp with a loader , will do anything you'll ever need it to, just ask Lord Ferguson he'll tell you.

Yes still got it Mark, lurking in the cabinet, but, is it really four years since I posted this ,where does the time go. Thanks for all the very nice remarks , I've got the bits stashed carefully away to build an Agcostar, the next stage so to speak ,in MF artic development, must get busy with it one of these days.

Standard front tyres for the MF 575 were 7.50-16 with an option for 6.00-19, for the MF590 ,standard fitting was 7.50-16 with 7.50-18 as the option. [source MF pocket catalogue ,December 1980 ]

Just a suggestion, but , change the cab roof for a flat piece of thick plastic sheet, the "wrapover" effect of the original roof just does'nt look right for the Fritzmier cab.

Depends on wether your asking could it pull it or would it pull it ?, A FW60 could easily handle the tanker with power to spare, but being more suited to heavy draft work ,would anyone put this tractor to that use, something like a JCB Fastrack would probably be more suited.

Neither were mentioned in the brochures, although front PTO may have been availible as an aftermarket, as some have been seen fitted with front linkage.

The Deutz and the AGCO Allis models had Deutz engines, only the Whites and of course the MF 9240 had Cummins engines.

Can't find anything in yank land that comes close to that tractor....all our 9 series are swathers or combines........imagine big nose will know something....

I believe JD were selling Zetors as JD's in the southern hemisphere.

As you say we don't know the circumstances of this tragedy, but I'm afraid that if the slightest blame can be attached to the farmer/contractor then they could be open to a manslaughter charge. Probably not fair ,but a sign of the times.

Nothing strange about that Massey except the red grill ,shold be black/aluminium, other than that looks like a standard US built 1100.

Definately not a Fendt, I think the IH link is the right one, since the XL cab was never used on any other manufacturers tractors. However , having said that ,still no wiser to who made it and why.

A 4365 would look about right on a Siku 5455 chassis, similar sized tractors.

Now that's very, very nice, well done indeed. I've always been suprised AGCO don't sell the Challenger rubber tracked crawlers in Europe in MF colours, after all they sell MF's in the USA in Challenger colours.

Can't see any reason why not, myself, it's only a 100, if you didn't overfill it, a T20 should be able to cope. It does say the've used it behind a 35 and as Archbarch said, if it's got the right sprockets.
