Mate of mine's a builder, He's got a Takeuchi TB016, don't think you could go far wrong with one of those, marvellous little machine.

According to the brochure the Krone Big Pack 1270 XC needs 136hp at the PTO to drive it, the only figure I can find for the Claas is that the main gearbox is designed to take 1,100 hp, so presumably that allows quite a bit of leeway.

thats what bothered me about them rob, that and its nothing i cant do my self with the 135, and i have the right seat waiting to fit to it to when i get another 135 to play round with

Of course for a 1967 MF135 as he claims it to be you would need a swept front axle with side struts as on the 35, probably better to start with a UH 35X and add a 135 bonnet and wheels, much more accurate, better mudgards and seat.

Revell kit from 1980
Humbrol "Bobcat" kit surely?, not Revell.

Nice build, but is it a fantasy build or was there an actual prototype?
-

Try Cab Parts at Crickhowell, Powys, Pounds cheaper than anywhere else, they supply all the tractor dealers.

Nice work , two very impressive tractors there.

nice work mate, them rears look very much like britains 6290's with the holes cut out?? tyres look that hard plastic.rubber they used, not uh soft rubber
[/quote
Britains wheels, yes, but definately not 6290 wheels, very similar, but if I remember rightly they were white.

Get some black plastic card, cut it up into thin strips with a hobby knife and a steel rule, spot of super glue ,wiper arm, blade, and Roberts your fathers brother.

thats one hell of a conversion great idea for the cab are you going to paint the rubber around the doors black like the real doors it might break up the grey a little
No rubber around the glass on a 4200 series cab, just a broad black band on the glass itself and all the glass is bonded in with a black bonding material. I should know, I own one and I 've had to replace a glass panel in it. From a distance the cab frame appears black but this is in fact the black edging on the glass, the frame is Graphite grey.

Nice one Sean, going to be a little cracker, of course you should lengthen the chassis by a scale 4 inches, since the 550 was based on the 148 chassis. Never mind, only joking, looks great.

Nice convo, really looks the part.
-
Nice little tractor , looks really good. I built an early 135 from the UH 35X, but hav'nt tried this convo yet, well done.

I have to agree, totally pointless, if we're not even sure what the prototype will be how can anyone criticise the model, daft or what?
-
I'd love a 165 too, please Nigel, I agree with Marky and Sean you need a few more reds in the range.
-
Anything with a CAT V8.
-
Fair cop, Allis [
I was working from Marky's scanned brochure pics mainly ('cos my memory is dodgy) and sort of mixed them up - 35 it is then
No critisism of your work intended John, it's first class, I reckon as a 35 it's just about perfect.

Borrowed a mates R-reg Defender TDI yesterday, haven't driven a landy for years, brought back quite a few memories. Shakes, rattles, squeaks and groans, steering goes vaguely where you point it, ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!. Must go and buy another one.
