  1. I have a few Massey Ferguson Pocket Catalogues from the early '80s. Does anyone know when MF started putting these out and when they ceased issuing them? I'd like to add a few more, how much do they sell for?
  2. I'm quite shocked to see that the 165 is UK spec. I wonder how well that"ll go down in the land of the free. There isn't a UK spec one and a US spec one by any chance is there?
  3. Kev mate, I wouldn't have your job for all the tea in China. I wouldn't want to deal with the likes of me I try to have all the info I can (including part nos.) when going for parts but nothing bugs me more than being behind one of those "I know what the part is but you have to figure it out" farmers. You really need to punch those w**kers Always remember this mate: No matter how impatient we are, you parts lads have the utmost respect from the majority of us belt-breakers and bolt-strippers.
  4. Yep, without a doubt one of the crappier Britains implements. Pretty sure thats all in the past though :)
  5. You have a lot of talent Thomas. Nice to see some different implements too.
  6. They're "One Way Discers" with a seed-box attachment if you wanna be pedantic about it In the '60s and '70s it was the way to get big acres seeded on the prairies. They're pretty much a thing of the past now.
  7. I've thought the same thing for a while too. I expected the Kuhn Mower Conditioner to fit the 3pt and was surprised when it didn't. I'm fully expecting the Prosol to fit the Uh 3pt. Someone please tell me it does \
  8. Thanks for the kind comments lads. I heartily recommend getting your models out on display if you have the space. They're nice to look at ( of course) but it's also a feel-good thing, makes you feel like you're not just spending money! I also found out that I already had one or two models that were on my "to buy" list so it keeps me up to date on what I have.
  9. Nigel, since I'm a long way from any supply of Scaledown paint colours, postage is a big deal to me. Can I use any decent "name brand" enamel primer like Airfix or Testors. I need enough for 10 tractor coats and If I can buy it locally that would be a help.
  10. Any John Deere set by an operator in a hurry I bale straw and that's good eatin' in the bedding when you get baling behind a hurridly set JD.
  11. Got 'er from Action Farm Toys, Billings, Montana, USA. www.actionfarmtoys.com Great people. They do mail-order and ship all over the world.
  12. There are two separate farms. A dairy and a beef unit. There is a fertilizer dealership and a general repair workshop. There are also the corners of four fields and a main road with a gravel side-road that crosses the main road. I have tonnes more pictures so if you need to see a particular detail ask me and I'll see what I can do.
  13. These are pictures of our farm layout that I first posted sometime last year I think. As per F-P's suggestion, here they are again for the newer members. My wife and I started this display about 14 years ago and have worked on and off on it since. We have taken it to quite a few toy shows, some in our local town 6 miles away and as far away as Billings Montana in the U.S. about 600 miles away. It's on 3 4x8 sheets of plywood. Fire away with any questions you have
  14. I've just posted a separate picture and a (very) short opinion of it in the UH telehandler discussion Jas. I like it.
  15. There is nothing on the box that states a maker's name. There is reference to JLG Gear. and a website jlg.com It also lists 8 JLG or Gradall or Lull models that are available. It's a good model, decent detail. Cylinders, hydraulic lines, air cleaner, mirrors decals etc. Not UH quality but a well detailed toy. I'd let a 7 year old loose with it (well, not my model but y' get my meaning )
  16. NewHolland2, the DB/Case in the front row is a 1690. The big ol' Case in the back row is a 2294.
  17. Interesting read kiwi. Tell Mrs Kiwi thanks . For the lads discussing the JLG earlier, this is a picture of my JLG 4013 Telehandler.
  18. Now a general shot and finally, m' mostest favouritest model of all, my MF 135 that is on that I had as a kid back in the mid '70s.
  19. I'm sure those layout pictures are still somewhere in this electronic box F-P I'll see what I can dig up later on tonight (takin' Ma out for a meal, birthday an' all ) I'll try to have them posted for tomorrow morning. Meanwhile.....some Claas bits and a few precisions.
