  1. Thanks for the info guys. I'll look into those spreaders (er..well... not literally :D) and try to figure out which one I like the most.
  2. Did any of the manufacturers make a spreader with tandem axles? The model has singles. I like the tires on OLD FORD'S Abbey spreader.
  3. OLD FORD, you have some really nice models. Any one of those would take pride of place in my collection. Can you feel the waves of envy coming from far, far away in the west...............? A question for Gareth, I have just bought an old Ertl rotaspreader, it has never been out of the box. If I send it to you, What kind of conversion could you do to it. At what kind of price?
  4. Really nice stuff. I like the 7600 4WD. The 135 with round mudguards looks great, we had one when I was growing up in Scotland. It had an MF manual trip loader and the tractor had no power steering. We've come a long way, now we have a Deutz Agrotron 110 4WD with a Quikie/Alo 980 self-leveling loader with 8' bucket and Peloquin grapple with hydraulic accumulators on the loader arms. Ahhh, luxury
  5. What is that? It looks kinda like the Ertl 1/64 maize drill I have.
  6. I had the choice between the Britains Samson vaccum tanker or the Siku Joskin tanker and I chose the Samson tanker. Yeah, I can hear you laughing from here! I liked the hydraulic loading arm on the Samson and thought I could eventually make an Injection system to go on it. Dunno if it'll ever happen. This was way before I learned from this site that the Samson tanker is not to scale. What scale do you think it really is? Does anyone have a picture of the Samson tanker with the injection system fitted?
  7. A question on the DX 6.50 A lot of folks on this forum are less than impressed with that model in that it's made up of bits of other tractors and isn't very accurate to say the least, so...... Why do they make an arm and a leg on ebay? If it's a crappy model, I'd rather not have it, does that change, the closer you get to completing your collection. I'm not dumping on how anyone collects, ya spends yer money how ya likes.
  8. My brother and I saved none of the boxes from when we were kids, heck, who would ever have thought then (early '70s) that adults, including me would be collecting and paying what we do. Since I got into this as an adult though I've kept all my boxes. So has my wife, she collects diecast cars. We have an old wardrobe in the basement full of just toy boxes. What really bugs me is the bubble packs that 1/64 scale stuff comes in. I never try to keep those and now unless it's something really important, a 1/64 toy is worth next to nothing if it's not in a bubble pack.
  9. What are the lads who throw their boxes away thinking now?
