  1. Sunday day off for me. ;D

6am- wake the rest of the house up with ACDC back in black because I could'nt sleep so why should the others.(my name is dirt now)

7.30am 12pm- on the net reading e-mails,buying fergies and getting hasseled by MF fan.

12pm till 3pm -out side working in my veg garden and trying to find out why the F!@K my ute is still useing water and changeing a few tyre's around, also found a new oil leak so realy happy about that.

3pm-3.30pm-paying bills/on line banking and having one last look at ftf for the day before going off to work on models I'm making. Then I'll start cooking my dinner.Wasgoing to go out but don't feel like it now and going out on monday night any way so best save my money.

    Any one asleep?.

  2. well pointed out rob,

fergy drives keep buying with confidence over the years

Be fair to say that confidence has been on thin ice in the past, hence MF's big push to get back on top.

At the end of the day all that said I still get a bigger kick out of driveing a fergie than I do a deere. :)

  3. I drive John Deere 7810 6420 6410 5720 2140 3140 and in the past have driven John Deere 4455 3350 3140 3130 I have also worked with 8300.

Cab=cabs are comftable with plenty of room.

Gearbox=jumpy, and power hoop alot exp when under load.

Diesel=the older ones I driven were bloody hungry for diesel the 4455 was a real pig on diesel.

Reliable=early 6420 with 5000 hard hours on it runs well and has not let us down yet.It has had none of the problems that people say they get.

3140 & 3350 for what they were are very gutless with there 6cly motor back by the cab and don't get there power down to the ground very well at all,I've found.

John Deere are not poor tractors but in no way are they that much beter than the rest.

John Deere apart from the USA has had it's day I reckon.

  4. Numerous things the worst one being we thought we had finished hay making today. 10,229 conventional bales over the last 2 weeks all loaded up, delivered or in a barn somewhere until the phone rang tonight >:( We now have 26 more acres to bale up, I'll be round baling if I get my way :-\ :-\ :-\

Oh and trying to get our 38ft artic through 2 sets of gates at a right angle. Alot of shunting back and forth, swearing and the use of independant brakes got through, 30 mins later ::) ::)

There my little helpers at times as well. ;D

  5. The tractor I drive has a euro hitch fitted (after market here)the trailers I pull would be called euro trailers as well I think.I like that set up for pulling trailers, only down side is with no weight on the back end there is a bit of wheel slip in damp condtions.

There's a pic of that back end on here some were.  :)

  6. I think because its more mixed here, it works differently, they've only just got the second cut of silage in and my dad has always said that a bit of rain just before harvest is good for the crop..not sure if thats true....last time it got flattened!

A rain on a cereal crop before harvest drys the crop out more and brings it in because the rain pushes the out the juice so next few hot days just suck that last bit of juice out of it in no time.It also fills the heads a little bit more if the cereal still has abit of life in it. :)
