    I will double check that next time i get over that way. I used too use a 98 on a forager back in the mid 80s and seem to remember that it had three steps into the cab and had a longer pre cleaner. Intresting drive on banks the 4wd lever kept popping out
  2. We got that one last year ex demo. They do 10 12 14 18 tonners they look pretty much alike till you get up close

Just too manic on wensday to take any pics and cold .Did hear there was 30000 visitors first day Not so many thurs too wet There wasn't much new kit about did look at the new puma very nice but just seen the right up in last weeks farmers guardian 112 grand .But i had a grand time looking around specially the two ladies in fishnets for the two days (note to self go and have a cold shower now)

    Relably informed today that she is totally original But she did have a clutch fitted a few years ago in spain So they sent there fitter off clutch in suitcase with spanners
  5. I asked today we have mrk 4s ten tonners but will check at the lamma show I know we get about trimming but not that far yet we only run 2 bomford

    Still earning her keep with a 4m3 power harrow Must add she is preferred over a jcb 140 only because she has a creeper gear

Was running in bottom gear no revs so pulling at 750 rpm The aim was six ton over a 45 yard strip 4mtrs wide each strip was marked out with a walking measure covering the ground with about 2 inchs view out the front got a bit tight when the rails leaned in a bit spreading the door was only open three foot

Got a welcome break from trimming for a day Puma 180 and spreader with the doors on to go and put a new surface on a race gallop First load of the day was weighed before i left the yard tractor and spreader a healthy 14300 tons with load 20300 only six ton load normally recon 10-12 ton depending on muck . loading with a 360 very slowly view out the back

    Doing a good job there .Don't think i get on with looking out the right hand side tho
  11. Should be busy with the elephant grass then planting,patch planting, and possably this year bailing it
  12. Been on and off like a fiddlers elbow since june but stayed on since the middle of oct so i recon with what i did back in the summer about 15 weeks (last year started the end of sept thro till feb 1000hrs) so slightly more than last year plus six weeks till she comes off (hopefully )

  14. Five of us are going up for the two days stopping the night Going out for a meal and pint or two (can feel my head thumping already ) Just like last year Perhaps we should have a meeting point ?
  15. That sounds good idea but I'm still doing 9hrs a day 5/ 6 days a week trimming one of the pitfalls of working for a contractor
  16. Thanks it is an intresting job at times ( providing you don't like sleep) When it gets manic in the summer The puma's are a very nice tractor you will like them

  18. No council work mainly farms and a fair few private houses and on odd occasions tree surgeons working on major road works mostly that is done at night not a lot thankfully last year i started at 11 pm and finished at 3.30 am. Then round bailin by 9.am
  19. She came from twisters (Lister's) at cirencester so gloucestershire plate .They get changed every two years all three tractors then hire in another three for the summer

  21. Oh yes took me one quick call to our local fitter .Straight round to his yard and out with the gas five mins Only took 20 mins there and back
  22. Excel 606 and the control box nearly fills the cab up ugly thing apparently it's the wrong box .But there were a lot of staff changes at the time so nobody really had a clue what was going on sooo boring if there's no trees to go around

Well been trimming on the same farm for 11 days now Still got my trimming buddy with the mf 6490 700 hrs on the clock not too fussed on havin a drive (only because of the trimmer controls) but might have a go after Christmas not really had much chance to take many pics Also must add i have been travelling to and from every day on my mxu about a 50 mile round trip cheaper than using the farm truck

Yes i know it's a massy but she has a blanket to keep her warm so don't know the model no but on a 08 plate and burning 10 ltrs hr This is the sort of troubles we have to put up with and a most satisfiable job I had to do a good job hear apparently the owner plays a major part in the royal Chelsea show
