Whats on your workbench???

Those wheels look great Sean... I’m also looking for some new kit on a 1250, did found one for good money years ago and used the tires on a 675 and 590, sadly the rims are useless, and the duals didn’t look that great either.... But, how do we get a hold at such nice wheels? -

Great to see that you're updating it again, Sean! Looking forward to see progress! -
tms project "top secret"
N. van Eekelen replied to Tractorman810's topic in Other Conversions & Scratch Builds
This really is a project that still amazes me every time, over and over. Wouldn't you be interested to start a mass production of 10 pieces of these wonders Sean? :D -

What a great job! My compliments for this project! -
Few of my own conversions

I really like your conversions! Very good to see lots of truck modifications. The tractor I was most charmed by is the 590 4WD in your opening post; lovely! -

Sounds good Sean, I'm really in doubt of what I'm going to do... I tried the 65 High Crop wheels on it; and I must say; it really looks cool. The width of the tyre is excactly what I want, the only thing is that the rim isn't the same as on the 500 series. But on the other hand; there where a lot of farmers who equipped they're 500 with self-made rims or from an older type I guess... -

Thanks lads! Everything is in the putty right now, so I hope to sand it down tonight or tomorrow. @Sean: Thanks for the link to the PMA wheels! They are a bit like MF 1200 rims and wheels; aren't they? I would like to have a tyre that is narrower, I also thought about the rims of the David Brown 990 from Scaledown, just looks really good. This was the 575 I took the measurements of (with long mudguards; mine is getting the short ones. ) -

Finally found some time to make some changes to my little 575... Shortened it a bit more; and it now has the dimensions of the real deal! Now I will need some time to fill everything with putty, and I'm still not happy with the rear wheels. I was thinking of the MF 65 High Crop from Scaledown, those are nice and small, and have a good rim if you ask me. The problem is; where can I buy them... -

I think that's the way to go indeed. Also discovered that the 575 is a lot shorter than the 590, so I have to give it a shot at the cabin side I guess... -

Thanks mate. I still am not happy with the front axle, in the real deal it is placed in the bottom of the side panels in the front. Still have to sort it out a bit. Maybe angle the plates at the bottom a bit more. -

Wasn't really happy with the lenght of the bonnet so I've shortened it 3mm more. Looks a lot better now I must say. Also wasn't that happy with the PAVT wheels, so last night I was getting trough my spare parts and found some 2680 wheels from Britains. I've reduced the width of it, and placed the 1250 tyres back on. Looks good to me. -

On the Dutch forum someone used a balloon in the color of the side capes Sean, worth a try? It's very flexible, so I guess you can do a lot with it. Gonna search for some pictures of it tonight, then I will see if I can send the pictures off it. Edit; I got the link over here Sean, it looks really professional http://www.miniaturenforum.nl/viewtopic.php?f=127&t=7116&p=3728012&hilit=Sirocco#p3728012 -

Maybe something like a UV sealing bag could do the job? Also used that on my Clayson for the dustsack. Maybe spraying it in matte white will do the canvas effect. Lovely to see such cabins, the cabs over here on the 100 series where most of the times simple ones from Sirocco, just like the 135 from my grandpa had. His 175 had a Sekura, that was a lovely and solid cab. -
