Its just what your used to buddy. for our fert trucks they have kenetic ropes, bloody strange the 1st time you use them.. For tractor on tractor or truck i use chain and slowly pull tight then just lug, used a wire rope once, never again, had dads bulldozer, pulling away then snap.... made a mess just missed dad in the truck, had a big birds nest around the dozers saftey frame, glad it was bush rigged.... Seen to chains pulled in half between 2 bulldozers, that was funny,

Looks like a good model, alot of work would have gone into that, I know what you mean about the deatil shock, guess it costs so much as all the work that went into it, i agree it could do with some more smaller details like pipes and just small things but looks like a good model over all

Id say she has a leaking inner oil seal, just did our 2140, not the easyest of jobs...

You want my 818 and 824,s and my 4240..... That fendt looks the muts, i love it, i ant got the guts or balls to do that to my 818,

Only a few siku models have the knob i think we moaned to much and the know stoped appering....

Easyest way is strip your 818 down, remove the rear links off that, re assemble that, Take a Siku JD 74/7530, strip that down, get a hack saw and cut the linkage off the back of that, it is part of the chassis so you will get a nice big Flat mounting plate, use the glue/cement of your chooice to sitck it on the back of the 818, put a implamnet on to set the heights before you glue it in place... Hope that helps you

How well do Mf take the beach, all the sea salt and so on, I know you dont see many deeres on the beach.... They either rot fast or are to busy working I know that all the "Proper" beach cleaners they make today are zinc coated and stuff....
