Looks very nice, lucky its a 950 and not a 990 or me and the wife would be fighting about getting one
-
Tidy ride marcus, mine odes have a loader, just cant work on the tractor very easy with it on as you proberly know, will get pics of the loader later in the week,
-
just dont drag her down in to high a gear mate , she's only on a 3 bearing crank , too much of that & she'll go bang
Damn, was hopeing it was a 4 bearing crank not a blinking 3 means its in the same book as the 990
-
Thanks MJB, only knowen mechanical prob at the moment is the clutch, yup she is just a tart up job, im not sure what year it is, havent traced the serial number to the year yet
the new roll pin for the hand throtle will be more than man enough for the job
No chance of me glazing a bore, i work my tractors and i have just found a passion in tractor pulling i recomend it to any one
-
the linkage and rear remote controls and main gear stick
the pto, hand brake and range gears
range gears are the red handles
and the gear selection chart
Next batch of pics will be it in bits.....
-
Took some snaps after i waterblasted her ready to remove the cab and split the tractor to replace the clutch
now for the back
inside the cab
-
A quick pic from the back door before i go to work
i shall take more detailed pics before i split her
-
I will have pics up , just have to take some before i split it, put the 5 leg rippers on it to try burn the clucth free, the bloody thing just kept pulling, should go well with tractor pulling
-
thats a nice rattle you been given there nick looks to be in fair condition , whats the plan full rebuild or just an 'up n running' project ? got to say my old 990 stood under a hedge for nearly 20 odd years & with a bit of patience & persuasion it fired ! good old DB
all she needs is the missing cosmetic bits and a paint and shes restored marcus, i plan on getting duals for tractor pulling, ill put up a pic of me pulling with it later
-
Well i just got talked into buying this tractor, only 4000hrs on the clock, has ahd a hard life tho, engine runs sweet as a nut, clutch is stuck at the moment tho , mainly a cosmetic job with oil leaks and it will be good as new, its cabed with 4wd, been working on it today but didnt have my camrea so will get some pics when i bring it home tomorrow
should look like this when its finshed
mine has a twin crowd loader on it tho
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=236623777
and mine is a lot rougher looking at the moment
-
Well final got my a into G and took some pics of this darling,
I was given this tractor and was told it had a con rod rattle, droped of the sump and found it had more than a rattle
dont know how ithe block wasnt damaged from this, #1 liner and piston were killed
Full internal rebuild, head job and new valves got her running like a clock, then found out the hydro pump was on its last legs, rebuilt that out of 3 old pumps and its as good as new if not better
time for so pics
i know she looks bad but im turing the rear wheels out, the previous owner manged to break the bloting points on one riim so the dish is welded to the rim, ive got a enginer sorting that for me, then she will be out of the shed ready for the road run next week
only missing parts are the headlights, side lights and grill pannels, 1st time i have ever seen the seat toolbox covers,
shall have more pics when the wheels are on
