Nice Teleshift, first restored one?
What was parked next to it, in the same colour?
-
Also try here http://www.squirestools.com/ Don't know about a minimum order as I visit the shop

You have too much time on your hands Clive
It always appeared, to a small/young me, that Britains never seemed to bring anything out
Interestingly only three years when they didn't, the last occasion actually having something to release but choosing not to, wonder why?
I take it that for '58 and '59 you used new lines lists?

The early green one
The first version blue one, this decal also found on the green colour version as above picture
These come with orange coloured tipping handles and land rover style knobbly tyres. Next version had a silver or bare metal tipping handle, still with early land rover tyres but as far as I am aware only in blue. These appear to have been available for only a short period before the tyre/wheel combination was changed for the less chunky ones as fitted to latter swb land rovers.
I bought a red coloured trailer a while back with yellow wheel centres, possibly made at the time the autoway series was wound up to use up parts
\ or possibly not

What type? how old?
-
Pictures please David. I bought a white plastic Ram that looks similar to the Britains lead Exmoor. The plastic is slightly translucent, and is also marked England on its belly. Someone did tell me it was some other make, but memory does not serve me well as to which make
, most likely as mentioned by TBF

I think the only other Fordson lorries i've seen similar to the one i've photographed have all been decked out in military colours.
They are normally decked out in Military colours because they were built specifically for the War Office, for the last world war. WOT, I think, is an abbreviation of War Office Transport. Built as either WOT 1, WOT 2 or WOT 3, these being different weight classes ie 15 cwt 3 Ton or 5 Ton, I think. These were generally an off road carrying capacity, being for military use and equiped with chunky wheels/tyres. They are very basic vehicles designed to use then current chassis/drivetrain components with very simple cabs, mostly of single curvature or flat panels.

Try also Brian Norman, he does a replacement one for the Ertl JD. It comes in two parts, cab and roof, as used here................

I know some online auctions now put anti-snipe components in the sale where the auction is prolonged for between 1 - 3 minutes if someone bids in the last few seconds. There is a rumour ebay will do the same at some point in 2012 as from their point of view, its a significant chunk lost revenue I guess
\ . For sellers it would be good news, but it would change the bidding habbits of the vast majority of buyers I would think.
By anti snipe do you mean those bidding sites or anyone bidding in the last few seconds?
The rules are the same for everyone so what is wrong with last second biding? its not illegal is it?
I nearly always bid, personally, in the last few seconds. I do not always win, but then NO WIN, NO FEE
With regards a "significant chunk of lost revenue" that's just greed rearing its ugly head
as seems to be the way in this country.
I know................................ you pays your money, you takes your choice

.............a lot of, ahem, interesting comments here
The most ironic thing is that a model of the Union Jack emblazoned 3CX extolling Made in Britain is being made in..............well foreign parts. I don't know whether to
or :'(
The advertised price is £64.99.........

just seen the link tris, definately smart tyres,i think i have a spare set from a siku jd 7430,i will try them tomorrow,if not i will contact karen
Karen had a few sets at Spalding this month

another jd,this time the deleted britains jd 7920,this is one ugly tractor, horrible tyres, way to big side mounted cab lights and no mirrors,so will be another conversion
Farmmodels do some decent tyres for this. There is a topic on here regarding fitting these tyres I think, improves the look
Early (first?) version of this model had rounded off front mudguards and are not very common. According to David Pullen they are narrower as well.

That is something special buddy!
Is there somebody how can print this a few more on cardboard? i am interested but can´t print on cardboard :'(
What about printing it on to paper and sticking this on to card?

How big is the DB Tim?
-
I believe a member on here has, possibly, a David Brown cardboard tractor kit/book..Was writing this as powerrabbit was posting, thanks for the confirmation Tim. The member in question was not you.
Only thing I could add to this is the range of buildings Britains brought out in the 70's...........Farm, Zoo, Castle and Fort.
Also have a flyer for a small Britains cardboard cottage, free on application, from the 20's I think

As supplied
Instructions
Reverse side of instructions
Main body (296 x 250)
Reel, radiator shroud, grain tank and elevators and other bits and pieces (294 x 250)
Header, wheels/tyres..................love the tread (296 x 250)
The driver is a little bit bigger than a Britains tractor driver.
I have added the sizes of the sheets for any one who fancies a go. They are bigger than A4
-
More pages than my Ransomes one, only the three and not double sided
but i do get a two dimensional man!!!!!!!
What sort of size does this make?
-
I don't buy it either, why don,t you put the picture up on here?
-
There was a pair of the Vickers Vigor on eBay a while back, any idea what they went for?
-
These were still available, in unbranded boxes, in a toy shop in Chichester, a few years ago. May still be available!
Also available with a front loader, various plastic implements and in boxed sets
-
from ebay, rather cheap in my opinion as i have seen this go for 8x as much, a Ford Tractor Plant by Matchbox. New in box
from 1972, only the conveyor belt was not whole anymore, most likely suffered from age as is quite common for thin rubber of that age..
I was under the impression that the Tractor Factory came with orange 5000's? There being one on EBay at the moment
-
Set no. 9592. This version from 1982-1985.
Earlier version had an MF 595 tractor and a/some different implements
-
I thought they may have used the same racks as fitted to the blue steerable flat bed trailer, 9591, so had a look.........same method of fixing but not the same plastic casting/moulding.
The flat bed casting is getting to be a bit of an old war horse, albeit slightly modified, having first seen the light of day on the magi deutz lorry in 1981 I think it was. Certainly getting their monies worth out of it
Anyone Make It To The Somerset Tractor Show This Weekend?
