Nice T6. Tempting. For those who want one:
Limited Edition Russells New Holland T6.180 Model
To commemorate the centenary Russell's took inspiration from the iconic Ford 7810 Silver Jubilee and created a unique special edition New Holland T6.180 dynamic command tractor and matching limited edition model.
All proceeds from sale will be donated to Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
We only have a limited number of these models available so please pre-order to guarantee.
DUE TO EXCEPTIONAL DEMAND FOR THIS MODEL WE ARE EXPERIENCING DELAYS WITH DISPATCH. NEW ORDERS MAY TAKE AN EXTRA WEEK FROM THE ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE.
I think it's turned out really well. This is the photo displayed on the back of the box (albeit heavily cropped ) which I took as part of the tractor's first photo shoot following it's completion.

gonna need a big cabinet to get that planned display if you take the diamond shoot as a base mate ,best move your bed out to make space ready 😆😆

The likelihood is i'll keep the display simple, and line them up together alongside each other on a shelf around 40cm deep lined with coir matting.......... only just downsized beds slightly, and I don't really fancy replacing it with anything smaller, or have to sleep in the garden shed.

My pair of Russells Anniversary T6.180s arrived today. One will be staying in it's box whilst the other will receive a set of wheels sourced from a UH New Holland T5.140 Blue Power. My plan is to recreate the photo shoot I completed for the latest issue of Classic Tractor. I purchased a Siku Pottinger Synkro 3030 cultivator to go on the back of the T6.180 which similar-ish to the Pottinger 3020 Synkro we used in the photo shoot. I'm then hoping to gather up three UH 7810 Silver Jubilees and have them suitably modded to represent those in the photos and have three matching implements converted for them. The implements that were used with the 7810 Silver Jubilees were a 3m Dowdeswell power harrow, a Reco subsoiler, and a Ransomes drag. The ultimate goal will be to have them lined up on some matting that looks like stubble cut to size to fit on a cabinet shelf.

Cracking recent additions David mate, but those autodrome beasts are especially👌💦
Thanks ever so much mate, so chuffed to be given the chance to purchase the Autodromes from a fellow collector. Without doubt one of my favourite line ups in my collection now.

Interesting, but hardly a revolution or a new concept. Gantry systems have been around for a long time but never seen any significant commercial success. Cotswold farmer David Dowler is probably the most well known designer of gantry tractors in the UK. He developed his first all the way back in the 1970s and a later version he built was taken up by the Silsoe Research Institute with little success. I do wonder if concepts like the gantry for certain applications were in fact way ahead of their time, and now we're entering the era of commercially available driver-less tractors that this type of configuration may actually suit that technology one day. Same with a tool carrier tractor i've just done a feature on for Classic Tractor which again was far from being a commercial success but in years to come could potentially be suited to the driver-less era.

Hi all,
Well, i don't know whether it's allowed (still i think it is!), but on my workbench at the moment is a bulldozer, the Caterpillar D8H, scaled down to 1:25. There was this building kit in the '60's, but since a few years it re-appeared again, now being called "Construction Dozer", without the original Caterpillar'-logo on the box.
In the years before it re-appeared i was lucky to be able to take-over a half-built copy from an older man, who wasn't able to finish it because of an illness. His daughter, who came at the door, told me they really would like to sell the half-built-model to a real enthousiast. Well, they succeeded in that!!
On the Dutch model-builders-forum you might want to take a look at the building-process i'm going through, this is the link:https://modelbrouwers.nl/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=54085
Allthough the text is written in Dutch, the pictures may also be telling the story.
When you prefer to only look at pictures, without a lot of text, than take a look at my own website:
https://modelbouwjan.jouwweb.nl/grondverzetmachines/caterpillar-d8h-bulldozer
My ultimate goal is to eventually build me two dozers: one being the D8H, for which i've also build a cabine, and the next project will be built out of the box of a new one, but being upgraded to the D8K-version.
When everything finally comes together as planned in my head, it will be amazing. But, the judgement is also up to you!
Just one picture of the state of the project so far:
Absolutely fantastic! Wonderful to see.

Is that the chap who used to have a table over the far side of the second room at Penrith David, he had a lot of nice American conversions of IH, Deere, Case etc that he’d built?
Correct, absolutely spot on John. I used to love catching up with him at Penrith, and always admired the one off conversions he came up with which he always improved upon year on year. Massively grateful I had the chance to buy some of them. I think he may have had an article written about his conversions in Classic Tractor about 16/17 years ago.

There was a prototype 1135 or 1155 model on Autodrome's stand at Zwolle in recent years. I'll try and find the photo I have of it.
