  1. tractor pulling 1:87 style!! the third day we visited the Cruiqus Museum, which is a large steam engined pump (now ran by hydraulics) which was used to pump water out of the "polders" in holland, i didnt take any pictures there as it was a bit cramped and not much room to take any decent ones. also that day we we visited the catapillar and mitshubishi forklift trucks factory where they are made for the uk and europe, there a several other factories placed around the world producing the same forklifts. we werent aloud to take pictures in the factory but we were in the final test area.
  2. we only had the 2 axions and xerion going oh and this lexion the next day, origionally we were supposed to go to the amazone factory but amazone had some plans changed so it wasnt possible, so instead we went to a tractor and model museum in Padborn this old 6cyl Deutz had air brakes on it
  3. insides of a forager, showing that you only need one of the 2 engines but when you start struggling you can use both after the factory tour and dinner we were taken to their farm where there was more machines and tractors for us to drive the farm owner (Claas rent the farm out) was demonstrating the hillside combine and the folding header
  4. a 1:87 layout with Claas kit shown the full process, from field to silo sort of thing
  5. the internals of a "matador" combine Xerion 5000 bonnet signed by the designers
  6. this past week (14-19th march) i have been away in Germany and Holland on a study tour with college visting factories and museums, the first visit was to the Claas factory at Harsewinkel where they produce the combines (lexion, tucano etc), jaguar, and xerion ranges. Before the factory tour started we had an opportunity to have a look round the "technopark" and take pictures as we werent aloud to in the factory for various reasons. this is the flag we put up in the back window of the coach
  7. a uh claas arion 640 in dealer box from the claas technopark while i was on study tour, claas also gave us a free model but the tutors are going to hand them out next week so i dont know what it is yet \
  8. that looks smart actually, as for the bonnet, its fine its just the grill that needs work
  9. i agree with you there Sean, when we are out on trips and step out of line we get put on first stage disciplinary as soon as we are back at college
  10. a deere on floats, theres some maize ground up the road that they must be putting slurry down on because i can smell it
  11. in the workshop but seriously they do seem to last, well the (NH) parts that aren't made in Britain
  12. thanks Bill, its 3 years and i start end of july when the course i am on at the moment finishes
  13. been chasing up someone at a dealers about an apprenticeship with them, he said the other day that it 90% likely they will take me on but he had to speak to other workshop manager first and he would get back to me thursday night so i rang him and he is going to have a word with him before dinner and ring me back then
  14. my mate said the other day his dad hasn't done his spraying test because you can do it on grandfather rights or something like that and so his dad can spray of his grandads licence \
