James T
There's been a HUGE influx of these very fast flutterbies in Britain in the past few weeks...I finally managed to grab a photograph of one at rest!
AndyB
A colleague just came back from Cornwall and said it was swarming with them. Must be the warm weather and strong winds......

Leakeyvale
My garden normally has a lot of Painted Lady butterflies and Tortoiseshells, too. I haven't seen many yet but I have not been out in the garden much as I have been away/out a lot. On the other hand I am not on the west coast so it may be a little while before I start seeing any great numbers. I never knew they were migrants though!
