deisel tanks

what do people use for diesel tanks on there layouts, i was thinking of pringle tubes or coke cans,any ideas,i remember when i was a kid i used brylcream tubs,dont know if you can still get them?thanks paul

i have a dads tractors one on mine, cost me 10 quid from memory and is spto on, hes at toytrac, and spalding, so if you want one from him thats the best time, i am going to spalding so can always get on in april if required

I also use George Pooles diesel tanks which are available as stated above or direct from the gent himself. Little point me trying to make any or source any when George makes the best for price and detail as far as I am concerned.

i have made a few paulali ,out of various bits of pipe and turned a few out of blocks of wood made some bunded ones the more modern type there is some on court lodge farm outside workshop ,there is also some that i made for jez on his old topic of two oaks farm . georges look very good to

yeah george poole is your man i nearly got one at spalding but had run out of money  :'(

a cheap and cheerfull way is get a two inch hole saw and run off a few holes in a length of 4x2 glue two together or however many you want depending on length you want then bit of body filler to fill in the holes and paint

mines off a poundshop tanker lorry remove the lorry add the filler pipes put on a stand off sorts, cheap tank
