has anyone fitted front linkage to the UH mf5480?? had concidered fitting siku linkage for useabillity but its not very attractive. Want to be able to fit front press for sowing, weight block or just run empty. Opinions, pictures advice give the lot ;D

i have a front linkage awating fitting to a uh 5480,just not got round to buying a new grey chassis version yet to fit it to, cant say  what one just yet mind

i have fitted a uh deutz/hurllman foled up one on the front of my 6480 uh convo

have you used the pma links?? are they useable? (with care)

no not a pma one mate, comes ready made, pma would fit mind no worrys, would need some minor chassis work

hmm descisions, are any of the UH useable only ever had one and it was the deutz with A frame and that would be no good

the pma ones will take stuff with care, only proper usable uh one is the renault atles ones that i know off, some of the others are built into the models chassis so aint removable

any idea on price?, never delt with pma before will they post on item or am i best sharing?, i know someone mentioned recently about sharing

really depends what one you want from them, they do several versions, postage last time i used them was 7.50 euros which has come down  a lot, used to be 17 odd for the uk,

I think on Markduck's farm layout topic he fitted front links to a 5480,havent done this myself but I did put a siku front link on my mf 6290 on ttv chassis conversion and wish I didn't now,it looks horrible.

Or put the 5480 bits on a uh arion chassis,flare the arches inwards and you get a tier3 grey 6470,which would have front links but a bit less bhp as its a 4.4 cc compared to the 5480's 4.9cc.

I've fitted a few different ones to them, PMA, Standard UH one, Deutz A frame and possiblely the duetz fold up one aswell. Just cant exactly remember

If you fit a proper front linkage then you can put an A-frame the same size as the siku front linkage ones meaning you can still put siku front attachments on  \  just an idea
