masseyman
could this be used behind a ferguson t20 ? ??? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/howard-roto-spreader_W0QQitemZ250594446727QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_BOI_FarmingEquipment_RL?hash=item3a5897cd87#ht_500wt_1182
tractortim
i think you'd struggle as the t20 doesn't have a live pto and i'm sure not enough power really. you'd be better off with a land drive rear discharge spreader
powerrabbit
I think that one of these spreaders when quite full would probably spin the tractor!
archbarch
the Howard rotaspreader has different sprockets that can alter the gearing making it possible to be powered by low hp tractors. as mentioned no good for T20
allis8550
Can't see any reason why not, myself, it's only a 100, if you didn't overfill it, a T20 should be able to cope. It does say the've used it behind a 35 and as Archbarch said, if it's got the right sprockets.
masseyman
thanks just wondering because i can get one for £100 although it may need a new lid as it's started to rust.
nick a
might need a pto adaptor from sparex if te 20 has smaller pto output shaft on the tractor
SMurF
Speeking from experience with the 100 A 20 will struggle A 35 has difficulty but a 65 does the job Just make sure the wind is going front to back when spreading or else you become a smelly mess Been there got the T shirt but had to wash it after

Simon
It's got 2 chances! Just leave the ends empty and you should be OK, I'd be more worried about moving it round on a bank loaded than chucking the muck out, all it's doing is turning a shaft inside a pile of muck, if you leave the ends open it should be able to get going well... tractorbob
only one way to find out, buy the spreader but fill it with some sloppy muck.. should be ok on the flat with some 56lb weights straped on the front
