BC
Oh yes Andrew I will be there on the Sunday with my 1951 International Famall Cub. The event is also hosting the Scottish Vintage Vehicle Federations " Champions of Champion". This is where class winner at any Scottish show in 2009 are invited to be judged to see who the judges thinkn is the Champion of Champion in that class. I have entered my one but she has been restored for 10 years now so very unlikely I will be in the running. never mind that is not what I go for and Scone has a lot of tractor entires. BC
Yes I go ever year except last year as it was cancelled. I'm entry number 102 and I assume all the Champion of Champion entries will be in a separate compound Andrew.

BC
Well great sunny day at Perth. Bit of a hiccup lost camera in tractor area but was found and handed into the reception and announced over the PA system. Photos from me tomorrow will be somewhat limited. Getting away was horrendous and only left at 7.35pm when traffic eased and was home just before 9.45. Got 28.5 MPG on way done and 30.2 MPG on the way home so well pleased with that. Nice meeting up with Joe and Andrew. Did manage to buy 3 Britain's No 9572 Yellow Massey Ferguson tractor with red loaded in well a real minter of a box. No 40563 - Little farmer Green tractor and four wheeled flat bed trailer No 09599 - Robert Wiseman Dairies milk tanker which was at a steal price

BC
Well it was the 25th time the SVTEC held its event at Scone Palace so each exhibitor got a thicker than normal brass plaque for attending. Now the first tractor I saw on the move after I had parked mine up was this beast of a Ford FW30. A 1979 model owned by Albert Cumming from Crudie near Banff. The driver kindly stopped as I took a photo and low and behold it was Lyall Strachan the cahp who was driving thta burnt out Scania a couple of weeks ago. When he opening the door and aked me where No 297 was I said follow me but she's not going to go on fire is she ??? I had a laugh as well when i saw Lyall's 4 x 4 dexta being carried on the back sideways ;D Next on the way back to the car I spied Bill Orr of Finavon's beast of a JD which he pulls a Chieftan trailer with and on board his Case LA and Massey Harris. Next on to the DMR Club stand A 1992 Case International Maxxum 5130 A 1982 David Brown 1490
BC
A 1975 David Brown 996 with loader A rather nice very original 1952 David Brown Cropmaster Next the Caterpillar Club Stand 1935 Caterpillar Twenty-Two from the Honey Farm near jdc in Berwick upon Tweed 1953 Caterpillar D6 from Jim Hair Brechin

BC
1952 Ferguson TED 20 with Selene front axle conversion. This had a second so it was either second in Petrol parafinn or could have been in Ferguson class. No one really knew the classes that were being judged. Me myself I but as suspected I did not get a placing at this event Again this 1950 Ferguson TED 20 with Ferguson and 30cwt trailer got a second but again was it in petrol paraffin or in Ferguson. Even Mike the owner did not know when I spoke to him. We will know when the club publish the results on their website. A 1950 Renault R3042 1949 Farmall H 3 wheeler 1945 Fordson E27N Utility on Spuds ( the one I managed to reverse my back into a spud and loose my camera) >
BC
Ross Yeaman's 1945 Oliver 90 which he drove to and from the event from his smallholding in Cupar Angus. In fact passed him on Burrelton with no light sa nd it was dark so I hope he got home before the "old Bill" pulled him over. I was actually shocked at Ross doing such a thing. 1942 Case DEX Now on to some diesel ones 1979 MF 590 1979 JD 2130 1979 Leyland 272 looking very well Ford 4600
BC
Ford 3600 1975 Mf135 with a second but again was that in Dieswl class or Massey Ferguson ??? 1974 International 444 1972 MF20 1972 Fendt 1972 MF 135 with a 4th but in Diesel or MF class ???
BC
1972 County 944 1969 IH 634 1969 JD 4520 1969 John Deere 2120 which had a first and was stunning (suspect 1st Diesel since there did not used to be a JD award)
BC
1948 Fordson E27 N Holeman Compressor Gordon Marr from Cumiestown near Turiff had his 1969 MF135 which had a second on it. I saw his wife with a cup and a first Rosette to so don't know what was for diesel and what was for MF ??? 1968 Nuffield 4/65 and loader 1964 John Deere Lanz 1938 Cockshutt Hart-Parr 80 with a 4th which must have been in petrol paraffin class
BC
1948 AC model B with a first which must have been for best Allis Chalmers 1950 Ford 8N with a first but I suspect it is for Petrol Parafinn Fordson A Ford 8240 being the prime mover for Peter Small's 1937 Case Cc4 on the rear Jim Hair of Brechin with a load of Cat's behing a TM 155 Almost the end and a couple of wee videos Brian Mailer winches his 1929 Case L on spuds aboard his MAN lorry whilst his brother steers. Brian did not know he had won anything until the end. The judges had put the rosettes on the cups. What a shambles the way it was done this year. Brian won Best Petrol Parafinn, Best Case and Best new restoration and was a worthy winner Finally a video of Peter Small with his 1937 Case CC giving George melville a pull start to his 1944 Case X which had been stopped on paraffin.
