noel
There are two methods i know off Permanent and non-permanent I would cheat for the lack of a better word. When i do shows i would use a spray bottle on mist and dust the model lightly in water then get a handful of fine soil (taken from the likes of a power harrow or land leveler) and blow it over the model. Check out Holy Loves Toys website, Mandy sell spray on dirt, looks the part

Fendthead
Just have a play, and don't be afraid, and have a total disrespect of costly models
philiprutland
Just have a play, and don't be afraid, and have a total disrespect of costly models I have to confess that it was seeing your website (through model farmer mag) that inspired me i thought it was original to use smaller individual diorama's rather than a larger scale set up. As much as i would love to have an extensive layout i simply do not have the room so would like to create some diorama's in your style. Are there any specific materials or techniques that you could pass on to me. ((don't worry my models are purely for my own pleasue (& my wife's annoyance) so i wouldn't be taking any of your business) besides which there is no way in a million years that my attempts will be anywhere as good as yours!!!!
