I've looked at coffee stirrers and was wondering if the would be alright for it? Also somebody must know the name of the concrete effect spray? Cheers in advance Mark! powerrabbit
Ice lolly sticks for the boarding with the rounded ends cut off perhaps? Concrete spray, grey primer spray paint?, that has a matt finish.
Barry
I'd use the coffee stirrers you get from McDonalds, just pop-in for a coffee, grab a big handful of them, have you coffee, grab another handful on the way out
powerrabbit
Never been to a Mac's, I always eat proper food! so wouldn't know what their coffee stirrers are like. You could also use strips of thick card.
FNHIR
My sister used to work in a filling station and got me a box of coffee stirrers, that's what I used
FB
coffee stirrers from most places, starbucks, costa etc.....even work :D as for spray, i think there is one by plastikote that is a concrete effect??
Farmermilkin82.050
Well, I would have been looking at using strips of balsa wood, which looks like a good job James.
powerrabbit
Balsa can be very messy as it soaks up a lot of paint.
Deere-est
Coffee stirrers or if you go to a good model shop they'll have up to one metre lengths of lime, spruce, balsa . .. all kinds basically for model ship building. As for concrete, I use a beige colour paint but you can get a stone/pva based paint for doing dolls houses too. The Plastickote stuff works better for a rough finish like compacted stone but I don't think it is good enough for smooth concrete.
