Lord Ferguson
Another nice load there Will E Baby... it never ceases to amaze me how similar the MF and Ford product ranges were... they seemed to complete on just about every level during the 70's 80's and 90's
FordTractorCrazy
it seems that way, Mark.. atleast in the US, but in Europe the Ford machinery part was much less present and only a few of the implements were sold over here as well as the foragers and balers.. The very smart purchase of Sperry-New Holland in the 80's put them machinery wise on the world map, maybe even in leading position and from that point, it definately seems that both Ford-New Holland and Massey Ferguson kept an equal tred on the range of machinery they produced.. It sometimes surprises me what king of machinery was carrying the Ford name, especially the very small non tractor machinery like pressure washers, snow throwers etc.. another 10 or so brochures arrived last week, still busy scanning those, so first catching up on the older additions: a couple of Ford-New Holland machinery from around 1989 Ford 30-series (US 1990) Ford TW-series (US 1989) Ford range 1958 (US 1958) Ford Powermaster Tractors - 801- & 901-series (US 1957)
stapelopfordson
Is this stream of brochures never ending?! Maybe good to know that the TW brochure is also published in a version where the range is printed like "TW-35 TW-25 TW-15 TW-5", so in opposite direction. The last 2 brochures are rare and nice ones! Lord Ferguson
Blimey mate... quite some haul is that ... love the last one from the 1920's ... and the Fordson Major one from the States as well..... brilliant collection you are amassing now buddy.... top notch stuff I thank my lucky stars that you are a Crazy BLUE Idiot.... if you collected MF I think I'd pack up and go an live on an Island far away with no internet :'( :D
FordTractorCrazy
exaggeration is an art , i am rather happy you are not collecting Ford. The amount of money that goes into my model collection is far more then what i spend on brochures, although i think i got around 500-600 brochures added to the collection this year, it still doesnt hold priority for me to add to the brochure collection as i am also still trying to keep the model collection up to date, as far as that is possible with the amount of new releases... Ronald and Jack also fish in the same puddle as me, but their collections are far more complete then mine and i am quite careful not to interfere with them.. Also you have Rory with an expansive collection where i have both Ronald and Jack to check what brochures i am missing, or find new issues not known to us. I have shared my excel file with Ronald already so he can see what different codes i have of some brochures as those small variations are the hardest to find I do seem to fare well with going to shows with my doubles and get some good trades here and there.. FordTractorCrazy
5 more brochures arrived just in time for new year.. all german "Sperry-New Holland" brochures/leaflets from 1984-85 including a German 1985 product range catalog which is far smaller then its French counterpart from the same year... stapelopfordson
Wil, first of all the best wishes for 2012! You found some unknown NH brochures, is this a typical german layout, single sheets?
FordTractorCrazy
thank you Ronald. i have a single sheets of the 940 baler as well and of some combine attachments from the same years, so think it is a new form of product information by the Sperry-New Holland company for the 1984-1985 period. They normally have thicker brochures for each individual model in their program. You don't come accross them much though...
FordTractorCrazy
3 more brochures added to the collection.. Box Spreaders : this is actually a very similar brochure as one i already had. But it differs in code. The one i already had, had the old Sperry-New Holland code, which is quite similar to this newer (by one month!) Ford-New Holland code... sperry-NH = 31021376-3-89-LVO Ford-NH = 31021376 48940 LVO then a UK TN-A introduction brochure. had the dutch version already.. and finally a new New Holland T9-series brochure from the UK to keep up to date with the New Holland artics brochures
