CX820Joe
Hi joe, Yeah Suckleys bought 2 760 lexions last season Cheers for that, I thought they had - I saw one of them working near Ellesmere a few weeks ago (photos in the harvest 2013 topic). They've also been very prominent in the area harvesting spuds as well. Great pics of the Xerion by the way - was that in Shropshire?

Deere-est
Flipping heck do you ever take a good photo!!! I loved looking through them, better to spend the time taking a really good photo than writing a load of waffle about so and so ploughing with such and such for thingy majig who farms with his brother nextdoor to Bob, who's married to Jims sister! Love it, mate. Really nice :)
jordantaylor
yes light land that is a very early simba setup but up until now he has pulled it behind his Ford FW-60 which he still has. he may now buy a bigger setup to test the 450 horses that the claas holds. thanks Tris, yes I do enjoy getting out with the camera, there is a huge variety of farms and equipment around the area here is a quick update for everyone as you can see in the last few photos there are 2 john deere combines picking up spring barley on the 27th November !! madness I know but it was drilled in late june after a very wet heavy carrot crop that was late to be lifted. jordantaylor
Well sorry I never replied to anybody, I'm not being ignorant I'm just extremely bust at the moment. Since I last posted have finished at the JRO Griffiths & Sons. I worked for a company called Skimble Crown for 7 weeks. It's a 7500 head pig unit based near bridgnorth, shropshire. I'm now in the USA working for a custom harvest crew (JKD Harvesting Inc.) until around late november/ mid December. So I've been busy sorting out visas, getting rid of my flat, selling the car and all the niggly bits inbetween. I have lots of photos to upload from this year and there will be plenty from the states. Regards Jordan P.S. Thanks for all the great feedback on the photography everyond, greatly appreciated

jordantaylor
Well here is an update from here in Colby Kansas. we have recently visited frahm farms where they farm over 28,000 acres. 20,000 acres of corn and 8,000 acres of wheat. they have over 2,000,000 bushels worth of storage in silos they have 4 corn planters, 1x 36 row and 3x 24 row planters we have also endured some serious dust storms the past couple of day where winds have topped 80mph and just carried dust for miles. jordantaylor
Trying to understand all this American terminology is pretty hard work. for example they call grease nipples `zerks` and cable ties `chiken cable` Here are more photos from around our yard and various places. We are hoping to make our first trip down to Texas in about 2 weeks for the wheat harvest then we will work our way up to North Dakota before heading back to texas for the fall harvest later in the year
