Try wrapping around a suitably sized wooden dowel, securing with string or elastic band then plunge into hot water followed by plunging in to cold water. When releasing from the dowel it will open up a little, but will retain its shape. If it opens up to much then use a smaller dowel.

I use that method pauls listed when I want really tight good curves to, but I don't use rubber bands, only string or scrap wire from work, as the rubber can go soft very quickly in hot water and even bust, string /wire holds in place, plus I usally leave it a good 15 mins after in the cold water ,just to let it really cool
