CX820Joe
Hi All I took this in June (this is cropped from original photo) - any ideas what it might be? I thought it was some sort of Valmet, but really not sure.
Valley Axe Man
Looks quite like a Valmet timber forwarder, Joe although not just Valmet do them, Deere and Ponsse, also are big players at these. Think of it as a self propelled self loading 8 wheel drive articulated timber trailer for moving felled trees out of the woods/forests and out to the loading areas to load up the artic or wagon and drag timber wagons to take the wood on down the road. Some forwarders run pairs of wrap around tracks on either of front or rear or both the bogies to get to further remote spots in the woods. hope this helps
axeman2
It looks like a Ponsse S10 forwader. I've driven one similar but with a squarer bonnet.
