civilpek Posted May 11, 2006 Share Posted May 11, 2006 in alot of silage pictures ive seen from england ye seem to spread the grass once its cut alot, over here its rearly done as far as i can tell and to be honest ive actually ever seen it done, when we mow we cut in 10 foot blows and using the swarther on the mower throw too flows into one, then pick it up with the harvester. a few years ago we used to use a rake but only had it for one season Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(And last night in between thunder) they chopped most of it and I took quite a few pictures but because they arn't on this computer I will have to post them tomorrow because tonight i'm off capturing some more footage. The Kuhn set up looks dab handy aswell, havn't seen a mounted rear in that set up though. Round here they are either one trailed or rear butterfly mowers used with a front one.
