Ferret90
Hi, thought I would post some stuff on my ford 7810 that I am going to convert... I got it cheaply on eBay and thought I would weather it and make some small tweaksI have started by removing the cab, I removed the back wheels and undid the four screws under the arches that hold the cab on. I decided to open the back window which turned out to be an easy job. I removed the surround from the window before cutting in half down the hinge. Fords new back window was not the best as the bottom half (that folds up) often broke and after several repairs, no one bothered to replace them and just opened the top half! mb86
As with your other builds this is very nicely done, not over the top but still looks hard worked.

bluegreen
7810 looks excellent, the 8830 on the other hand needs longer mudguards exactly like the ones on the 7810!! Another UH oversight ha ha!

Thanks ,Yes, I've got some ones from a 7810 I might put on... another thing I noticed was there was stickers over the original painted ones on the bonnet saying 8830 but I peeled them off and underneath it says 8930...weird one UH

If I remember correctly when they released the 8830 it was catalogued as a 8630.

Hehehehe ,there was a lot of muck ups I don't think that ford ever made and "8930" ... they are detailed models but I don't think the quality of some of them is up to scratch and then they stick one of their crude hitches on the back!!! No there was no such thing as an 8930, the 30 series consisted of 85, 86, 87 and the flagship 8830. I agree with you on the hitches, i would be happy if they were up to the standard of their 5000
