NewHolland2
That's looking good Tris......I'm not sure about the effect the sanding would have but an older look would be good...... Perhaps with just some general use the older look could be achieved?
Tractorman810
looks great tris,i would leave alone age wise, they may well have just re -boarded the rear end anyway,i know the farm did theres after a long time as the wood had rot out

Deere-est
Cheers lads, she will be staying as she is then, just another coat of blue underneath then and a light board on the back and she'll be done. Not going to bother with a hay rack on this one but intend to make one or two more. All will be different though, just as most farms trailers are. Lord Ferguson
How easy is that to do Tris... I have that little trailer in my garage.... I am tempted I have to say \
Deere-est
Pi$$ easy mate, seriously. I just followed the ridge of the lowest 'plank' round with the Dremmel, spilt two discs doing it when I jumped for the phone ringing though This one will have the dolly removed, the rear chassis part turned round 180 degrees then a drawbar fitted to the chassis to make a single axle jobby with a front hay rack aswell. Deere-est
Well, a bit more tinkering. . With three notches cut out of the rear axle subframe it can be refitted the other way around. Next I will remove the front dolly.

Deere-est
Chassis an hitch fitted, the I beam I used was too deep really so that meant bodging the drawbar a little bit but once a foot is added, along with headboard and ladder it should all look ok. Deere-est
Looks smart Tris mate! Are you planning to fit some sort of rear towing hook ??? No mate I don't think so, it's just going to be one of those old trailers that farms have. No paticular make, just a plain old bale trailer, Cheers for the compliments lads, always best to start on something easy!!
Tractorman810
wh hey trissy baby, i have been thinking about one or 2 of those for my layout as the marston is to big, will have to keep an eye out on this topic see how ya do it, then do two for me i thinks unless you can do them for me mate ;)
Deere-est
I have got another one spare as it happens mate I didn't want to do another cut down 4 wheeler because as far as I can remember this size of farm around my way rarely had a matching pair of anything!! So a simple single axle drawbar type had to be the next option.
