Kirely
I’m looking for help please in identifying this model fully accepting my knowledge of tractors is very limited. It was sold as ‘maker unknown, a Massey Ferguson TE 20, white metal possibly Scaledown’. I have compared it with a Scaledown TEA 20 and it is not Scaledown. I have displayed some photographs below with it alongside a UH MF 35 and a Scaledown TEA 20. The most notable thing about it is the bonnet/body. The bonnet, which has a raised line down the center, is 2.7 mm narrower than the TE & MF models. Can anyone help in identifying this model, who manufactured the kit and is my suggestion that it is meant to represent a FE 35 correct?
Kirely
I just remembered I have a UH FE 35 and I see the bonnet is completely different.
Ferret90
Hmmm, not sure on that one Kieran, like you said the bonnet seems to be very narrow. I think it's details are too chunky to be scaledown and the wheels don't look like the scaledown ones, I may be wrong. Nice little model
Ferret90
Looks abit like this Brian Norman one but a different bonnet...
Anderson Agri
Yes it looks like a Brian Normal FE-35, however it looks quite crude so possibly an early one?
Kirely
Thanks Guys for trying but I'm not convinced. If you look at the two areas I've pointed out in the photos below the detail is very different. Just wondering if could be from a European manufacturer? Anderson Agri
It just dawned on me, could it be an original britains TE-20 resprayed? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-BRITAINS-1-32-SCALE-FERGUSON-TE20-TRACTOR-WITH-PLINTH-BRAND-NEW-RARE/183680255406?hash=item2ac43245ae:g:79MAAOSwt5dcYTcA:rk:2:pf:1&frcectupt=true

Kirely
Well done to both of you, it is a Britains with an exhaust and steering arms added. I can rest contented now.
Anderson Agri
Can we have a scooby snack? I knew i recognised it was just just a case of where from haaaha
Kirely
Thanks again for identifying . I'm a bit surprised that Britains, when commissioning the white metal model of the Ferguson TE-20, would have approved a model that was not an reasonably accurate representation of this iconic tractor. I'm beginning to wonder how accurate the rest of the vintage range is?

After I sent the message three times, he eventually replied and said he would alter the description - but he did not !

You were lucky in getting a reply, I have come across this Seller before and he did not reply to my questions. Unfortunately he seems to be a Seller who can pick up rare items but his Buy Now price usually puts me off.
