How to paint sawdust

I've got quite a quantity of sawdust and I would like to make it green so that it can be used as silage in the next few weeks.  Does anybody know how to make the sawdust green?  There must be a way of doing it.

I use food colouring.

A little bit of acrylic paint, water it down, and mix in sawdust until its all coloured.
