SPN
I bought this kit on eBay out of France more than 10 years ago. Finally it is getting built. I decided to take lots of pictures and do a thread on the build so that others can see how straightforward these kits are.

SPN
Rolling chassis. No pics of front axle build as it is doesn't lend itself to thinking about anything else (rear bogie has suspension installed the wrong way at this stage. Took a wee while to realise this and then try and dismantle and rebuild. The bobtail look didn't suit this truck)
SPN
Tipping mechanism. Straightforward to build if you take it slow and get your head around it before using glue.

SPN
The 16" sides are too low for my liking, so decided to take them up to 32" The design stage
SPN
Reusing the original mounts for the rear door (still hadn't a plan for the rear door at this stage. Considering scratch building a new one)
SPN
I liked the top fixings, and I particularly liked the detailed locking mechanism at the bottom So I decided to keep both.
SPN
I used 0.5mm sheet styrene to put an inner panel on the tailboard and used this as a base to rebuild the structure Then used 1mm sheet for the outer panel and channel to add the frame. SPN
This is how it looks assembled loosely. The next challenge is the paint job. Lots of decisions about various details, such as which parts will remain black, which will remain silver, and which will be painted. I plan to build a new spray booth tomorrow, do primer on Tuesday and main colour Wednesday. Photos with NH 8070 and Dominator 105 unloading grain into it to follow later. Stabliofarmer
That looks like a lovely kit Stan! Great chassis detail, and really nice wheels, a rare sight in a plastic kit. Loving what you've done with it so far!
SPN
Priming and detail stuff going well. The mirror mounts and grab handles are always a pain. Still some niggly little bits to resolve. One more coat of primer tomorrow and then the main coat.
SPN
Got some layers of yellow on today and some more fettling. Put on one more coat tomorrow and then we're on the home stretch,
