1978 Belarus MTZ-82

MTZ-82s were made by the Minsk Tractor Works of Belarus (MTZ = Minskii Traktornyi Zavod), imported and painted into the cream/red livery (all came out of factory plain red for export) and fitted with a Swedish built cab by then importer UMO Belarus of Letchworth.

Not all 'Belarus' tractor were built at Minsk, for example the 165hp 1500 and 1507 were built by Kharkov in the Ukraine, the DT-75M crawlers were built by Volgograd (Russia) and the small 29hp 250s were built by the Vladimir Tractor Factory in Russuia.

Any pics of the crawlers Belarus fan??

A scan from my literature collection of an approx. 1977 sales leaflet for the DT 75M. Also a photo from the real thing in the 70's at the Spalding? tractor trials. It was also later known as the Belarus 750.

Hope this is of interest :)
