Farm playbase sized boxes

Has anyone had to post one of these things, I'm looking at selling the similarly sized Riding set (with stables)as I can't sell it locally on fb Marketplace, and the box needs to be big!

Approx 73cm long x 45 wide snd 7.5 deep. Nearest size box i can find is a u2 server shipping box, costing £17 cheapest which I guess I'm going to have to add to the already large shipping cost of this item on ebay.

What boxes do others use and where are they obtained?

I would possibly look at buying a couple of A1 sheets of double wall cardboard and fabricating your own box. That's a really unusual size being so thin, I imagine most things around those dimensions are 30cm+ deep?

The other alternative is wrap heavily in bubble wrap 10-15 layers and then wrap in single sided corrugated card?

That's not a terrible idea, especially the first one, thank you James. I'd be reluctant to wrap it too much as it makes it tricky to get to potentially. But a home made box with thick cardboard sandwiching it makes a lot of sense.

I sent a Britains Eventing set to Holland a few years back. I brought home some cardboard home from work and wrapped it around so that it overlapped either end. Taping it both ways with plenty of tape, which pulled the overlapping ends towards each other, possibly including FRAGILE marked tape and bubble wrap inside, can't remember for certain. It arrived okay

I've got the stable building parts, animals and accessories in separate sealable bags as they wouldn't fit inside the box without falling about. If I'm wrapping it I guess I'll just have to have them loose inside.

You could add some bubble wrap to stop them sliding around

Perhaps but I'm a bit worried the fragile roof will get crushed if I'm not careful.

Can you wrap that in bubble wrap first?
