NewHolland2
Great pictures. Nevers seen a dryer before. How does it works? Texas Thanks Bas........The dryer circulates the grain around and has a gas powered flame which reduces the moisture content in the grain as the grain is dried by the heat of the flame........We're running it for three hours per full tank and then it takes around 45 minutes as a cooling down period........ :)

Massey Boy
looks good i hate opico dryers cheap and un reliable and gas fired but i dont no much about the newer ones
robl12
Most people use gas on there dryers as it is cheaper than diesel. Another reason is that most of the companies that supply LPG will fit a tank for free is you agree to get your gas from them. ;)
NewHolland2
The problem with a diesel dryer is that if the fumes from the diesel get into the batch of grain (which we had problems with with our old diesel dryer) the batch is pretty much a no go........ :'(
robl12
I thought there was something about fumes as well, how much moisture is it knocking out per batch Mart??
NewHolland2
I thought there was something about fumes as well, how much moisture is it knocking out per batch Mart?? We're putting it in at around the 22% and getting it down to 15% Rob........
robl12
Thats pretty good as they reckon most only knock it down by 3% per batch run.

Aye it's doing away ok, we're only averaging a load per day though due the extra time the wheat is taking compared to the barley........ \ thats not good what did you have before Think it was a Master........ \
