An Interested Spectator
In due course i want to create a diorama for a number of my farm models. To make to a little more realistic i was looking some 1/32 scale saloon cars to go with it. I have found a series of BMW Audi and Jaguar cars in the right scale in my local toy shop in Wells, but other than an Audi 80 they are all "flash" stuff, Audi TT, Jaguar XKR, or models of 4x4's. I was looking for more ordinary family type cars. I found a Mitsubishi Evo as part of a set, but that and the Audi 80 is as far as i have got. Internet search of "1/32 cars" just brings up slot cars. Is anyone aware of "more ordinary" saloon or hatchback model cars in a definate 1/32 scale, and where they can be purchased from ?

An Interested Spectator
To Britfarmer, I have tried all sorts of varations on internet searches. I thought New Ray might be the people, but cannot find anyone who stocks them. Can you recall where you got the Mini, its exactly the sort of thing i am looking for. SPN
The term 1:32 can be a broad church. I've seen Corgi models rated as 1:32, but to me they are too small. Scalextric are also rated as 1:32 but to me they appear slightly too big. There are Airfix kits in 1:32, but I have never seen one built so I can't comment. There are a number of pseudo-brands selling 1:32 car models, but many of them appear to be first cousins of New Ray. Here is a list of models I am aware of which will work on a 1:32 diorama. I'll update with any additional models that come to light. BMW E36 saloon BMW E36 Touring BMW X5 BMW Z3 BMW Z4 BMW Z8 Mini (original) Mini (BMW) Ferrari F355 Land Rover Cheap (Freelander) Land Rover 88 Land Rover 90 Land Rover Defender 90 Land Rover 109 Land Rover 110 (Siku) Land Rover Discovery Land Rover Discovery II Land Rover Discovery III Range Rover Mercedes ML Mercedes SLK Mercedes C Class Sport Coupe Mitsubishi Pajero SWB (Shogun in UK?) Mitsubishi Evo Ford Anglia (Saico) Ford Escort Mk1 (Saico) Morris Minor Volkswagen Beetle (original) Volkswagen Beetle (new) Volkswagen Convertible (new) Audi A4 Audi TT Alfa Spyder Renault Megane (in the background of some of RenaultForever's diorama pics) Toyota MR2 Toyota Land Cruiser Toyota Rav4 Kia Sportage Honda Civic TypeR Scooby Impreza Peugeot 206CC Opel Speedster (Vauxhall something or other in UK & Belgium)

An Interested Spectator
SPN, Cheers for the list. I'll try a couple of internet searches for the names you have given. Failing that i'll just have keep checking toy and model shops and hope i get lucky.
allis8550
Airfix used to do a range of 1/32 scale cars, some vintage and some 1970's saloons and sports cars, I think they did the MGB ,E-type, and others. You can find quite a few 1/32 scale kits on E-bay, I believe theres about 3 pages of them on , at the moment.

An Interested Spectator
To Tractorman810, Thanks for the "heads up" but i work away from home for 10 days at a time and the work computer blocks any access to e-bay. I hope they never get around to blocking access to this site, but then again i might get some work done.
