james f
Maybe you could use the crane off the old valmet 115 logging tractor? \
Goodhead
Maybe you could use the crane off the old valmet 115 logging tractor? \ good idea. Or maybe its somethink uh could do with the green one.
ihatepoundland
I think the forestry cab is different to the standard one Still could be done though
Goodhead
do the forestry tractors have grass tyres? My work collegue just pointed it out. he thought the wheels looked wrong. Ricky could take his articulated valtra and mod it some more to look like that. Perhaps a trailer could be built from the chassis of one of the uh trailers. ihatepoundland
Maybe this one is used for verge work? Stabilisers not usuaual and i doubt the steps would be there if used in forests

Kiwi6920
Thats a small log grapple too don't you think?? It could just be a yard tractor for tidying up the stock piles? would make sence with semi industrial tyres and a small grapple?
ihatepoundland
My money is on this thing towing a shredder trailer along the highways, picking up piles to feed into said shredder, hence the small grab (based on the shredders capacity) - the small grab also is probably to do with this things extended reach wieght capacity which is why I'm going to go with embankment work rather than forestry
Kiwi6920
Yeah that sounds like what it proberly does

james f
So you could do a forestry conversion on a 'standard' tractor then \
